Low intensity flames for a small amount of time. Painful yes serious no.

What's interesting is that A) when toph grabs the porcupine (or whatever that thing is called in their universe), shortly after she says acupuncture, you can see a smile on her face, possibly hinting at the enjoyment that she's going to enjoy inflicting pain on Aang. And B) when sokka and katara were sucking on the frogs, it is actually referenced in a later episode, it's the one where zuko is trying to join team avatar. Aang actually brings up in that episode where zuko saves him from admiral Zhou and sokka mentions how he (sokka) had a wart on his uvula (I know I probably spelt that wrong) for a month, and katara denies that by saying that she checked and she didn't see a thing, and he (sokka) swears that there was. Nice continuity for Avatar the last airbender with the last one there.

Fun fact: Some species of frogs *can* survive being frozen solid, and that's actually how they "hibernate" through the winter. They manage this because their body releases a substance that prevents ice from forming crystals and damaging cells. Honestly didn't know this until *long* after Avatar ended, and I just assumed it was a fantasy thing. Turns out the show was even smarter than I knew it was.

Frogs have very permeable skin leaving them very vulnerable to infection. To protect themselves they have evolved to support a host of symbiotic bacteria. @alanal59973 жыл бұрын
@@elnchou Why tf would you try anything from a show where people can move water with their hands, breathe fire, create air and kick huge rocks at people? Who would look at that fictional show and say, "Ah yes I'm sure everything in this fantasy show is accurate." I'm pretty sure we all knew the health stuff was inaccurate the moment someone could heal a wound just by using glowing water. Like common guys people aren't stupid and know what fiction is.
@elnchou3 жыл бұрын
@@alanal5997 Actually, that's exactly the point. Avatar is fictional and it shows, if it does anything "medical" it will probably be with some fictional herb making it clear that it doesn't aply to real life. Take Dr Stone for example, it uses real science on a fictional story, but they had to put a warning to prevent people for trying it since it's dangerous to replicate. If a show tries to teach something that's actually incorrect to the point that it could harm people, it's not really that hard to imagine someone who knows about it getting slightly annoyed at that. That was what the question was about, "if there was any show" that didn't handle their medical information optimally. I don't know what being upset is to you, but getting annoyed is just human and it doesn't have to be childish, adults don't lose their emotions. Being upset doesn't have to translate to physical rage or anything. Also, he was asking about any series, so it's just natural that you don't see any problem with avatar since it wasn't what he was talking about. Don't worry, if you read how he phrased the question you'll realize he knows it is something extreme, or else he would have just assumed that it happened. Sorry for writing so much, I tried to explain it so anyone who reads can hopefully get the point lol I hope I did it correctly

One of my eyes was slower to react to light than the other, so it didn't constrict as quickly, meaning if the light levels in a room changed my pupils would be different sizes for a while. However, after a few years, it healed itself.
