When he died I literally stopped watching, it just wasn't the same after everyone started leaving. His death I literally cried. He just got everything he wanted and then it was gone.

@BP 27 Nah, after Mark Greene (played by Antony Edwards) died. He was the heart of the show. Granted, some great actors came aboard for a bit, it was never the same after Anthony Edwards left.

This don't even compare to Dr. Green's death! Anthony Edwards was ER. When Anthony left the show that started it's down fall. Season 9 was good thanks to Carter and Abby, but then Carter and the whole Africa bullshit happen and broke them up and then I was totally out. The writer's ruined ER after season 9.

Dr. Pratt' s death is one of the saddest things in ER. I can' t stop crying when I see his eyes full of tears and being aware of his life is over. It' s devastating. I' ve been warching the show since the beginning and all over the years. I don ' t like at all how guionists kill all our beloved doctors.

Pratt (the amazing Mekhi Phifer) was in my Top 5 favorite ER characters. The show was on life support when they killed him off. That last season was incredibly lame. They brought in a new crop of fresh interns (none of which were likable), and Angela Bassett gave it the old college try as the new ER chief. It was time to pull the plug.

Watching for the first time. Thanks to MAX, I have binged watched ER from episode 1 and of all of the deaths, this one hit me hardest. I don't know why. Mark Greene's residency and death was more impactful to the show's success. I loved Romano's departure...Karma is a B. Gallant, Gant, and Knight were footnotes at best. I bawled my eyes out watching Greg brain dead on the bed. Solid departure from a long running, successful TV show. Had the series continued for more years, his departure would have been wasted but now in the final season, wow, what a way to go!

@juliabohemian Frank had started off pretty much a racist and bigot, but it was Pratt that saved his life when he had a heart attack in the E.R. (Pratt did the surgery). Pratt's death had affected him deeply.

Frank's whole character changed in the ER when Pratt (and Neela) saved his life and then they saw Frank talking to his special needs daughter. They realized he was flawed but really wasn't a bad guy.

its weird, i never expected to cry during this episode like i had with dr. greene's death. but that scene where archie gives bettina the ring that pratt was going to use to propose with, i broke out into tears. i think what made it so sad was how his life was finally coming together. i wish they would have gone about killing him in a more realistic way (such as a car accident rather than the mob thing). i hate it when shows over do it.
