Abby was extremely vulnerable in that moment and Luka hated to see her so upset so it was a great time to kiss her. I actually remember when Abby did the same for Luka, the mugger he killed he was so upset about in season 7, she went over to comfort him just by holding him which lead to another incredible moment for them started their first relationship and this one started their second. Abby trusted Luka in this moment otherwise she wouldn’t of been breaking down like that. The connection they have and trust is always what allowed them to restart. I was glad Carter was gone this time. They thrived ❤️

This is probably my fav moment in the entire series.It was such a pivotal moment.I remember when her and Carter broke up and she saw Luka come back after he had malaria,and I knew they would get back together,it just took the show two years to catch up.I thought the kiss was so epic.I really hated the show after they broke Abby and Carter up,like there were too many changes and I didn't like it but still kept watching,this was the first time I really got excited about watching the show again.

You know what stands out to me the most. Abby letting Luka see her that vulnerable. She’s usually good about hiding her true feelings of heartbreak but here she let Luka in and it shows how much she trusts him. A big growth to her character before because before she’d never let too many people see her like that. Huge change to how she was when she first came on to this moment now. Abby was finally in a good place to let Luka in and to truly love her. After they rekindled their relationship when she wound up pregnant with Their son.

This is ONE OF THE BEST ACTING SCENES in the whole serie!! From 1:40 her voice, this part sounds SOO real! I really love this scene ♥

I felt for Luka and Abby. I mean, I was really feeling it....from the very first moment they met, I wanted them to be together so bad. I never, EVER thought the producers and writers would put them together; and in the end, I was so happy I was wrong. Luka and Abby were perfect, in every way. Broke my heart and made me ache for them, every wonderful step of the way.

Spot on.. I wanted them together so badly . I ached for them to be together because you could feel their connection and those feelings didn’t disappear they were under the surface lurking and I kept thinking Luka will have to be the one to make the next move when it happens and when he finally did here I was like oh god yes ! They got through everything thrown at them. Their love was just incredible. ❤

It wasn’t a kiss to arouse, but a kiss for the purpose to comfort. It was so sweet. I must say, it was a little inappropriate. They had just lost a patient. A ten year old girl. I do, however, understand why the writers put it in there.

He never meant any of that. Luka was heartbroken and angry over carter interfering in Luby the first time. You’ve never said anything in heat of moment you didn’t mean ? Luka pined for Abby for long time that’s why he was spiraling so bad after their first break up. He really loved her. If you’ve seen the whole show you could how it’s always been for Luka and Abby. They even showed hints for this reunion in season 12 by Abby showing him emotional support when he was depressed and then when Abby was upset about that little girl Luka came to Abbys rescue for that..

As it happens I watched this episode recently. With all due respect to Visjnic’s and Tierney’s acting the scene played very wrong. Luka and Abby had just treated a 10-year old child who died. How does that put them in the mood for romance? I could see where the scene was going and I was thinking, “Don’t kiss her! For the love of God don’t kiss her!”

Abby was a really good person who went through a lot of trauma in her life. She didn’t ruin anything and Luka loved her for the person she is. Flaws and all. Carter couldn’t do that.
