I found the perfect setting that the books don't tell you about. Was able to use a gray elastomer put a red spring on top and then a spacer and a yellow spring then spacer on that. Yes it left almost no gap but it works so good. Allows for that real brake mush mixed with a harder stopping point but an extra progressive feel yet still like springs mixed in. That 1 elastomer changed everything with two springs. I was shocked it worked but its so so perfect now. Im shook. Now most woul like the gray elastomer, red spring and blue spring. I like a little more travel. But try it guys you would be shocked. Or you can use a black elastomer. The point is you want that mush aka hydrualic feel. Yes tiny bit of squish to it but it gets its closer to a hydraulic feel without the hydraulic. It makes it so progressive and amazing.

@eRacingAcademyАй бұрын
Adding a little more travel to your P1000's brake pedal can make a significant difference in feel, especially if you're looking to customize the braking experience to match your preferences. Many sim racers find that experimenting with different elastomers or tweaking the resistance can help mimic the feel of a hydraulic system, giving you a more responsive and immersive braking experience.
@markrawlinson76235 ай бұрын
Good review - Been very happy with green/red spring combo - you mention the 3d printed parts for non hydraulic stack, I use M6 (fits over the pin) 8mm high shoulder bushing washers which do a great job of holding the springs in place as I had no access to 3d print.

Do the springs get rid of the loss of break pressure when held at a constant like 80%. I’ve seen it brought up in several videos and this one @ 6:37 that the elastomers relax making a unintentional trail break. Also I guess a dumb question but is there any reason not to use two of the same hardness spring.
@juccavtr8 күн бұрын
Thanks. Does this apply also for hydraulic version? Also, would be nice to have that pole to put springs and elastomers also on hydraulic version. It's such a pain to change them, especially with inverted pedals.
@reviewforthetube64853 ай бұрын
You know you can tighten the preload way way more if you want to get rid of the slack and or spring feel. You can almost make it flat against the little engraving on the side just keep twisting the piston bar and it will keep going in. So when you push it doesn't move as much at all it can even load the elastomers and make it so when you press its much tighter. You can do that with the spring and keep on tightening that piston and it not move once you get it tight enough that bar just spins and spins almost until it's flush with the back of the red/black piece. I've done it where the elastomer is almost flat and it's just almost a brick wall with barely any movement at all completely taking out all pre load completely. Even explains you can do that in the actual directions explain you can spin it until those little machines grooves on the side have no gap so that metal cylinder aka piston is barely sticking out. All of the issues you had with the spring and or the elastomer can be fixed just by doing that. The initial press isn't soft that way either. Everybody misses this step. I've talked to so many who had no idea. It says to tighten until there is no gap with groove. That little machined groove on the cylinder should be much closer to the black/red piece. Yours was very very far away. I guess since it comes that way people go oh I do it this way but that's not the case. So next time or if you have them now test them out. Maybe make a video since nobody else has. You can spin that cylinder and get every bit of pre load out not just slack but where everything is already compressed so when you push it's much stiffer.
@eRacingAcademy2 ай бұрын
Of course it makes most sense as you can add more preload once you get rid of the slack. You actually start adjusting the angle of the pedal also.
@reviewforthetube64852 ай бұрын
It doesnt chabge the angle. The bar is the same. It doesnt move the pedal face or direction of the pedal push. The piston only goes in but the metal where the screw is screws in it doesnt change the length of the actual bar. Watch the pedal push it both ways. It just makes it a little stiffer and or less slack. That's all it doesn't actually pull the pedal back. It only allows the metal piston part to sit deeper the entire bar stays in the same position/angle. @eRacingAcademy

Is the brake pedal on the non-Hydraulic P1000 dampned in any way?
@eRacingAcademyАй бұрын
Yes and no. The non-hydraulic Simagic P1000 brake pedal does feature some damping. It uses an elastomer (or rubber) material to simulate the resistance and give it a more progressive, realistic feel. Although it lacks the complexity and fine-tuned resistance of a hydraulic system, the elastomer still provides a firm, dampened sensation to approximate the pressure needed for realistic braking in a sim racing setup.

Fanatec DD+ (CSL DD or DD1): Sufficient for learning tracks and gaining experience, especially if you’re new to sim racing. What you are saying doesn't make sense. And I suspect you want to feel movement i.e. Position based. Whether you have the softest combination or the hardest if you calibrate to 50kg is max force then the only differences will be the the feeling itself squidgy vs hard and the amount of travel. You won't need any more force to achieve 50kg, it's force. So when you say having one spring and three spacers you need a lot more force it makes no sense. I would suggest you are trying to achieve a level of travel that you are happy with so using more force. Also then you say with the original rubbers the force drops off, yes it will if your foot is position based but if you put in 40kg the pedal will always register 40kg. The rubbers compress a bit but all that means is your foot moves forward slightly if you are still putting in 40kg.
