Thanks to you, Boosted Media and Race Beyond Matters, I got these in the black Friday sales. Unlike yours, my brake pedal felt out of the box like it was using a brick wall for the elastamers. I've been setting their position up most of this evening. First opportunity tomorrow I'll be trying out your spring/elalastamer setup. It's got to be better than the brick wall of a brake I've got right now which, for me, is undriveable.

Oh you'll love the setup I use, it's sweet, if it's too stiff try Washer Yellow spring Washer Red Red Red Blue Washer That's a lighter version of what I rock :) (too light for me though but maybe just right for those who like to finesse the pedal)

Great video. Thank you for the detail and tips. I am using the entry level CSL pedals and I have exactly the same problem that you described. I don’t feel I have control of the break to make the consistent patterns. I ordered the P1000 yesterday and I hope I achieve a similar outcome. I will try your setup and share my findings. Thanks man! I used 2 red springs and it felt ok. But always had to rely on muscle memory for that 80% brake pressure, and its not consistent. Soon as i did what you use, it felt fantastic 😊

Cheers for this. Recently received there with the OPR set. Not had a chance to test much, but immediately loved them but felt the pedals needed some adjusting. I put the longer red clutch spring in and the firmer feel makes it easier to find the clutch bite point for me and feels more like a real manual car's clutch (not that I ever really use the clutch). I then put the longer stock black spring that was in the clutch into the throttle pedal and it feels so much better for me, being someone with a heavy resting right foot, so I get more of that push back on the throttle to properly lift off in slower corners, while still being light enough to push to maximum throttle easily enough. For the brake, I have been trying the brown spring at the top with green spring at the bottom with the rubber washers top, bottom and inbetween (the Simagic GT3 recommended combo), which feels good for me but is pretty firm so may try out a lighter spring in the top half in time for that first stage.

I have the simsonn pedals but this gives me ideas on how I want to set up on my brakes. On my brakes, I have mines set to 0 to 100% with a hard stop. I'm going to take your advice and recalibrate so that hard stop is 80% instead. Great tip! 👍🏽

For the throttle I just push it until it stops and add 2% dead zone to the top and bottom. Same with the brake. A 2-3% dead zone at the bottom in case preload changes slightly or I'm resting my foot on the pedal it doesn't register.

I went for a two spring setup, but I also added the hydraulic brake and that changed things quite a bit feel wise. I can recommend to anybody that the hydraulic add on is worth it.

Dude you have one strong leg. Most cant reach maximum like you did lol. Wow I do think people have a bad habbit when they calibrate there brake they press as hard as they can. I like how you showed to do it because imo its the correct way to do it. Me i sit around the 60 to 65kg mark. I rely on muscke memory and control for my braking not pushing as hard as I can relying on stopping force. I do it alot like you do. Me I always set a 2% deadzone though at the start. Just in case i rest my foot on it a little to hard or when i come off sometimes i have a bad habbit of not letting completely off and resting and end up accidently leaving a percent on or something. Same with the throttle. My biggest issue of all is lifitng all the way off the throttle. I have a bad lower back so i dont have the best sense of feeling in my feet so its sometimes hard for me to judge. Im surpeised how well I gelled with trail braking even with having my issues. I used to skateboard alot and I fell on my tail bone a little to often lol.

Max register load depend on elastomers used. Max I could reach was about 67kg with all black, but all reds stops measuring at 80kg, but feels the whole 100kg is impossible because the elasticity. I found it difficult to find the balance of good travel and precision.

@ggm-i8y i also use lighter springs/elastomers which is also why I don't hit the 100kg. Not to light. I use 1 red and 1 yellow spring but also use a gray elastomer on the bottom instead of a spacer.

@@reviewforthetube6485 I tried spring and while it gave good travel and feel, the load cell is very unstable is drops drastically after couple seconds of being pressed. So now am back to all black and around 35kg max load and work my way through ownership as the elastomers wear in.

Set the brake to “KG” instead of % if you want easier way of calibrating. So if you like say 45kg force you just calibrate to that number 👍🏽

Jackzer!! Great video! I also have the p1000s and have been trying to increase my brake pressure since most say it’s faster and gives you more control. I have noticed a jagged telemetry brake line like you mentioned. I’m just wondering what KG you are using? Based on the calibration inputs it looks like around 30-35kg. There should be a switch in the software to change it from percentage to KG. Just curious if you could share 🙂

How are you setting up the haptics in SimHub on the brake pedal? How you fine tune this for each car, which will behave differently, is definitely an area of interest. I suspect a lot of people, myself included, won't have the haptics configured optimally and thus aren't really getting the maximum out of it.

Shouldn't you calibrate to the maximum possible but then adjust the percentage with the force button? This way you have the maximum resolution of the pedal but adjust the "weight" to your liking?

I assume not based on this video but wondering if you have experienced this elastomer “creep” that I know Will at Boosted mentioned and others have seen - I think where there is some residual energy in the elastomers and so when they relax they don’t fully release pressure? I’m probably not explaining it right but I have seen this issue from what some are saying. Really tempted by these pedals tbh and it’s down to these and the VRS (as others here have said).

I too use those pedals , I settled on one red and yellow, with the red being the one that’s closer to you, it gives you a hard stop around 80% and you can push harder to get that extra brake. Keep in mind tho, I use the 200kg load cell setting tho.

I think vrs and p1000s are equal. I think if you have a rig with a leaning foot plate where the pedals go or a pedal tray where it leans foward go with vrs if you have a flat foot tray that's adjustable can lean back or be straight then p1000s are fantastic. Love mine.

P1000s are comparable to the Heusinkveld Sprints. The VRS I would say is a bit more of a higher tier brake. But then again, to each their own.

I tend to add dead zones at beginning and end of travel so no potential loss of input. Also, I notice the brakes feel like they float a lot and it’s been driving me nuts since day one. Feels like I’m always adjusting and that’s the LAST THING you want to have to do with your brake. You want consistency over all, so idk. I love the pedals but I feel the brake doesn’t “stay put”
