@@BenjaMage Just a recommendation for a future video. I once wanted an obscure DS game called Avalon Code, which was about using a book to alter the properties of everything in the world. When I finally played it, though, that very selling point killed any enjoyment I could’ve had. I probably could’ve waited until your next video to suggest this, but I was suddenly reminded of Avalon Code of, by all things, the health bar in the DS version of Eragon; specifically, the background symbol showing just how far the bar could potentially go. Look up a screenshot of Avalon Code and you should see what I mean.

The GBA version includes tons more elements from the books as you get further in, such as Teirm, Dras-Leona, the cult, the Twins, Jeod, etc. Oddly enough, it's probably the most faithful adaptation of the books that we've gotten so far; even if it still has a lot of differences, it includes way more book content than either the movie or the other games. It's a solid game, too, not a masterpiece but decently fun, so I wish it had gotten more attention from the fanbase than just being one of several almost-forgotten spin-off games for the lackluster movie.

I played the DS version in a DSi, and it was (at least at that time when I didn't have a PC) the most impressive game I had played. The combat was simple enough that a little boy like me could control it well. Also, the fact that weapons leveled up with each kill had me farming for hours and hours. I didn't read the books nor watched the movie, but the weird mummy-like monsters were really, REALLY a challenge for me at that time. The combat felt tense and I really enjoyed it. As for the herb spell... I never really thought about it too much, lol. You do use magic later in the game, helping you with enemies and some other stuff, and because it needs to be used with the touch pad, it's equally kinda immersive and stressing. With that being said, I loved the game when I was a kid, I should play it again later.
@salthesalmonshark68493 жыл бұрын
A good thing about the prologue is that you can keep the items even when you are playing as Eragon later, so it's kinda useful. I really, really love the GBA game and it has a special place on my heart. It was my only game for a while because we didn't have much money, so I replayed it over and over, even without knowing anything about the Eragon franchise back then. Did you know there's even a Leroy Jenkins reference? (For some reason) And yes, the game is quite long and there's lots of place to explore. I really recomend you play it to the end, it's worth a shot :)

1:28 Months after this video, with you saying how the movie doesn't connect with the books that well, I think NOW is the time for a new film adaptation of the series to be done right, thanks to what I've scene of the new Dune movie comparing it to its cheesy 1983 adaptation, which to me wasn't that good, which the new dune was WAY better and I have a feeling it connected with the books better..cant confirm that but I wouldn't be surprised if I found out later it did better at conveying the souce material then the 1983 version ever did, and the fact that both the new dune, AND the new Spiderman Across the spideverse, is being done in multiple parts, plus the MCUs inspiring ways of making there movies, especially if they are two partners like infinity war and end game, etc. I think it's time to get started on making the series, and this time, STICKING to it's source material, like MCU, MCU films compared to other superheroe movies was more on point in it's adaptations of each superheros with some liberties here and there. What do you all think?

Just seducing my neighbor while investigating her murders (and selling off the secrets) and also while fighting off zombies as my wack-a-mole part time job in order to decorate my haunted house?
