Only cable TV was available in which there was no facility to watch back episodes. So many serials had this recap scenes to help viewers follow the story. Nowadays serials don't show recaps as it is not required.

This series is well done, with excellent actors. Bombay Chanakya is a master director. I feel sad that this is going to end very soon. I am fascinated with the power of Atharva Veda. Where did Kumar go to learn this art? Benares? Are there any practitioners of Atharva Veda today? otherwise this is all past history . The ancient Indian tradition initially recognized only three Vedas. The priests who practiced the Atharvaveda were considered to be the lowest tier of Brahmins, in comparison to the priests who practiced the Rigveda, Samaveda, or Yajurveda.

Dikshitar goes by the concept of pre-ordination of fate. But it is not fate. It is all random happening. If it is fate, Dishitar being the biological father and Rajam , the biological mother must have died per ambi's horoscope (which made Dikshitar to place the ambi baby with Dharmambal and convincing them it is their own baby). But the story faults here because fate prevails on genetics and not artificially imposed parenthood. Circumstances (Dikshitar's slighting of Santanaraman, supposed father of ambi) made ambi leave cozhalingapuram and learn vedAs to seek revenge of Dikshitar.

The bad impact created by Dikshithar on the young Ambi Thyagarajan had made him cruel. Dikshithar's arrogance because of his highly learned qualities has created a bad impact on an innocent boy. He is taking revenge for the death of his father Santhanaraman and mother Dharmambal. One reaps what he / she sows. But it is pathetic to see the innocent family members are becoming Kumar's target. That is why Atharva veda Athyabaks are very rare. Even in Yajur Veda there is a branch which deals with dhanur Vidya ( knowledge on invoking missiles). Considering that the Dhanur vidya will be misused in the Kaliyug, it was hidden and no vedic school is teaching that art.

He will take care of his biological father Dikshithar after Dikshithar request him to accompany. Had Deekshitar Or Kumar looked inward during their life they would not have created situations which is against dharma. One can not refer Mahabharata as precedence for such revengeful acts. Mahabharata war was initiated by Lord Krishna to destroy the old generation and pave way for the new generation which is the prime motive of the avtar of Lord. Mahabharata war is a mere toy play for the Lord which he reveals to Arjuna during his Viswaroopa darshan and says that he has already finished the war and what pandavas and kauravas are doing is a mere toy play.

Mahabharata war was not initiated by Krishna. It was initiated by Kauravas and Shakuni. Destroying older generation is a lame reason. Always generations have coexisted. Krishna only justified the reasons for the war - a king who cannot see dharma, a queen who refuses to and princes who will did not want dharma to exist - should not rule. Yudhishtra, who got the kingdom was also not that great (he had no rights to gamble away his kingdom, brothers and wife) but it was unintentional... he was better than the others.
