Erandaam Chanakyan is a series that deals with the relevance of VEDAS to Modern Science.
This series was made in the year 1999 and is still relevant. It is one of a kind series that is set both in the Agraharm and City.
The serial is directed by Bombay Chanakya along with the story, screenplay and the dialogues.
The serial was produced by Min Bimbangal with Geetha Kailasam as the producer.
The story revolves around a small boy who took vengeance in trying to destroy the ego and cruelty of a man who was responsible for the death of his father. The theme was taken from the story of Chanakya ,who took his revenge and destroyed the king named Nanda, for insulting and humiliating him.
The cast includes famous actors like Venu Arvind, Chethan, Mohan Ram, Dr.Sharmila, Bhanumathi, Meera Krishnan, Bombay Gnanam, Vijayasarathy, AnithaMathews, Sangeetha and others.
The serial had a pleasant title song sung by Unnikrishnan, with the lyrics written by Dr. Kiruthaya and music composed by Ramani Bharadwaj. The re-recording is by Rehaan.
The camera work was handled by Raghunatha Reddy, who had done the best job.
The serial revolved around the backdrop of the cultures and traditions of the Brahmin community. Venu Arvind as usual had performed with his excellent acting skills. The role done by Chethan was highly appreciating since it was a different role in his acting career.
The serial had attracted viewers from all communities as it was very interesting and was elaborated in such a way it described and showed the culture of the community. Many scenes and some of their habits were seen only in the movies and serial which was also one of the reasons for the success, as many people liked to watch the life styles of olden days which are history now. Mohanram and Meera Krishna played their roles casually, for which they were very well-known . The child artists too performed their roles naturally. The house they had shown in the serial, the kitchen, the backyard along the village people, made the viewers desire for the olden days. Irandam Chanakyan was one of the serials which portrayed the south Indian culture very clearly.

I couldn't accept this is a story. In the end of this Episode, expressions of Venu Arvind, his deep look and his acting even Meera Krishnan's acting just penetrate our heart. The serial explains that There is boundless beauty in our culture and traditions. Though I am watching this serial 2nd time, seems that I am watching it freshly. 2:08

The trio, Mahadevan, Parvati, and Neeraja is a wholesome threesome---hilarious, natural, and entertaining. I think Neeraja is the same character as Kodhai in the serial Thiruppavai. Her act is outstanding.

Kumar is the child that was given to Dharmu by Viswanatha Deekshitar. Kumar thinks that Deekshitar is responsible for his father's ( chetan) death. Kumar takes revenge on Deekshitar by killing his family members one by one by using Abisara mantra Prayoga. Finally Kumar learns that Deekshitar is his biological father and breaks down terribly and the story ends with Kumar taking care of his biological father Deekshitar as a penance for the ill deeds done by him to Deekshitar family

I am watching this serial for the first time.Every episode is very absorbing and Bombay Chanakya’s direction is marvellous.The actors also exhibit their best.I have to wait for weekends to see the serial.Bit disappointed but you have your valid reasons.

Sir, a small suggestion is that you can take a balanced approach. You can consider either of these 2 options: 1. 3 days a week - Friday to Sunday (or) Saturday to Monday. 2. 4 days a week - Thursday to Sunday (or) Saturday to Tuesday. This way you can take care of requests of both India and US viewers

Sir, I understand you are seeing a regionwise convenience. Same time, you have to consider other group which I think is majority. I completely enjoy this series and cant wait for a week. Be it this or your periyava series, if Im not able to watch it regularly, I used to see back to back of the missed episodes. I think you should consider telecasting this series everyday and maybe a full recap on weekends. Thank you. Hope you will consider this. 🙏🙏
