I currently have a wired system on my Tahoe. The monitor uses double sided tape to mount it. It’s not good. Doesn’t stay put. So, I have this unit that I will install. This video makes it look easy enough. Thanx for the video, Ron.

Great overview of the install. If you try different settings sometimes it can help with the interference. It does look like a decent unit for those who want an easy install.

Yea, i think what im going to do is take the ground side off and ground it straight to the frame, to see if that will give better results. thanks for watching!

You could also use quick disconnect spade connectors incase you ever needed to remove it you wouldn't need to cut but this way is the best way to do it As long as its permanent

I had the new 2nd gen erapta camera professionally installed and it looks great during the day but at night the LEDs almost totally white out the screen to the point where I cannot use it at night. What's up with that!?

Cool another Ohioan! I'm out in Butler county! I just ordered the ERT01, that I'm gonna tie into my radio head unit. How would you recommend running the wire from underneath the truck? I know some have mentioned drilling a whole in the back under the carpet and running the wire inside, and tucking it under the trim as you go, back to the head unit and to the power and ground wires hooking into the head. Wanting to see if you know of an easier way. I have an 02' Avalanche, so pretty much the same setup as yours.

know a year as gone by, bought one of these backup lights, getting it Fri. Question. Could you wire the monitor into the reverse fuse (or line) in your fuse box so it would come when you shifted into reverse?

Technically you could, however you would need to cut the wire going to the monitor and hook it in directly.

If you want to do that, just get the ert01, it gets wired in at the radio. There's normally a reverse wire there.

my back up camera is fuzzy after the car has been running a long time. do you have a fix to this?

Gotcha. Mine has that as well. I have yet to test whether giving the system it's own ground over splicing it directly to the ground side of the circuit is better or not.

@@CaptainRon1 Thank you for your feedback. I have seen a video on youtube of a guy using a capacitor to help hold the charge because he was explaining that the back light is to weak to power the wireless back up correctly. I have not yet tried this method cause I am scared to do it lol.

Wireless omg so I could of spent less time then having to hide all the wires and run it through the back hatch door mine is wired to my 7 and a half in touch screen stereo

Hey sir... I haven't read through all the comments yet, so I don't know if this has been addressed yet.. Hello, I was just searching for install stuff for the eRapta backup camera and saw your video on KZbin. I saw a few videos down the same video under another creator.
