YES a fantastic show. Thank you for going for it ! Let this be the proof that patreon votes is a bad system for reaction. The "hype of the moment" will always win. The little ones stand no chance. as you said, it never won. Reaction channels should do a double vote or something like "Huge hits" and "Blast from the past" with hidden gems or little communities only. How many incredible shows will never be reacted to because they are facing the new super mega hit of the year with thousands of active followers ? :D

and sayuri, the singer who sings the end song, passed away like last month or something. the ending song is so beautiful like it's also a movie song. the whole series feels like we watching a movie. the ending song too. but the opening.. errhmm... nah. just typical weird action male song thingy. not that special.

There was (apparently) more with Airi in the manga before this revival where she helps Satoru with another revival... so she did have a bigger part, it was trimmed out to get this hook at the end of ep 1. It's a great series, not so much for the mystery but for the storytelling.

i dont like how this story title, GOT BUTCHERED VERY HARD TO BE JUST "ERASED" the original title name, has meaning there. "Boku Dake ga Inai Machi". in English, it's possible to translate it to be something like... "In this city, only I that not exist" or... "The city where I'm not exist"

Really looking forward to your reactions to this show~ You already finished it, but something interesting is that the english title "Erased" is actually way off from the original japanese title. It should be more something like "The Town where only I am missing" instead of a simply Erased lol I've only seen it once back in 2016 when it aired. I only remember that I loved it A LOT back then. Since then I've heard a lot of people complain about the ending, but I don't remember it well enough to know why. So I wanted to rewatch it for super long, but never got around to it. Will be nice to re-experience it like this~ And the Opening still slaps :D

So excited you are doing this show! This is the show that got me into anime after pooh-poohing it for years - generic shonen (overly loud action) doesn'tappeal to me in my downtime but that is essentially the 'face' of anime because it's what gets promoted most heavily. The idea of a very dark storyline starring KIDS was something I never thought possible because in live-action child actors are universally terrible (not their fault, they just have no life experience to draw on to play complex emotions). But somehow I started watching Erased a couple years ago and 🤯 - so much more is possible with adult VA's voicing young characters in anime that you could NEVER do in live-action and have it be as good as this show is. 👍👍👍And I still don't think there is any character in anything I've ever seen that I hate more than Kayo's Mom. I would play cards with Kibutsuji Muzan and chit-chat with Sheev Palpatine if it let me get into a room alone with her for 2 minutes. 😡
