You can kill the tormented demons using melee and magic instead of the range. The dark demonbane spell with Mark of arceuus spell up will hit 40s with your gear/stats on task. I use the slayer staff from the slayer vendor to autocast the arceeus spells. Excellent method if you can afford the runes, this way you can use thralls too

I did this and used the choas and fire rune demonbane spell, got the syapsis after 80ish kills. Bow is way better combined with sword imo. but my next synapsis is staff so ill prob go mage and range next syanp.

when osrs released and I did dream mentor I lost all my best gear to the boss fight it was way harder than I remembered probably because I was already maxed when the quest originally came out and in osrs I did it with the min stats
