the BNF you can get it in the air in 25 minutes. but PNP certainly not. the shotty phillips head screws should be replaced with hex-driver hardware(because the ones they use love slipping). and the foam is too stiff also and cracks easily. still a decent plane for how little building there is, not setting spars in, waiting for glue to dry, etc etc.

Thanks for your insightful comments. I will be on the lookout for the cracking foam. Am still waiting on my batteries for now and bad weather is on the way, so not sure when I will get to maiden her. Had a great morning flying my Maule and S Bach 342.

Hi Dan, can you tell me where you purchased the red and white checkerboard covering on the Horizontal Stab on Eflite Maule

Hi Jim, I got it from Hobby King. Its vinyl self sticking, 1/2" squares

I had to get one of those IC2 to IC 3 adapters for my new Ultrix, still waiting.
@DaninVA Жыл бұрын
Well, I got the adapter and charger, but the batteries are still on backorder. Ordered them all from Tower Hobbies

On the BNF the elevator servo wire runs in that hole.

You can just replace the batteries connectors with the ic2 connectors. I will not fly spectrum so I simply replaced the battery connectors.

Good idea. I finally got all the cables, charger, etc. that I need. Have flown her a few times, but am not overly impressed with this plane. It is very light and overly fragile, so it mainly just decorates the rafters in my shop.

@@DaninVA Hmm, all foamy airplanes are fragile. Actually compare to other foamies, this one is quite a bit heavy.

Guess I will never be a 3D guy. I fly it early in the morning as a "warm up" plane before switching to my larger STOL/sport planes. Sure glad you enjoy yours.
