I have just lost my mother in law to Alzheimer’s disease. She was 91. Luckily, she was so sweet through the last years of her life. No one has ever complained to help her even though she needed all the care from others. She will be greatly missed!
Dementia is a very scary illness. It affects everyone in the family. Care givers, please seek expert's helps to advise you what to do and how to do. You need to be trained mentally and physically. When your elderly starts to give you trouble, you must stay calm and get helps. Our parents brought us up and give us the necessary in life. When they get old, it's our turn to care for them. If you can't handle, do arrange an old folk home for them. I believe it is cheaper in Taiwan compared to Singapore.
I took care of my mother , she slept everyday on the afternoon ,and not at night .she a fraid of lonely at night. I had to sit until 3::00 am everyday. So long , I have stress but I am not yelling my mother . My father had stroke again and again .one stroke and one stroke very close. My brother's wife and my brother and me took care of my father. That time very hard time my whole family. I miss my father and mother. Now. They passed away.
