@judahjehle35733 жыл бұрын
Ok but the "Musa I'm Lyrically Lethal I'm Relentless African Verse Immune" part was actually super clever. It's all capitalized because the first letter of each word spells out "milliravi" which was a term Bezos once used as a clap-back to people saying Amazon would go bankrupt back in 2003. He said it meant a miscalculation of a million dollars or more, and also titled Amazon's next quarterly report "Meaningful Innovation Leads, Launches, Inspires Relentless Amazon Visitor Improvements" to make it an acronym. Subtle but genius line!

Even almost 2 years later, this is still one of the best ERB's of all time. The lines were straight up godly, with both sides dishing out roast after roast, but the instrumental is what really brings this battle to god-tier. I like how in Bezos's verses, you hear more techno sounds than Musa's instrumentals. Also, I love the occasional church bell sounds. Overall great battle. I love how you guys made Jeff Bezos and Mansa Musa unashamed of who they are. Bezos doesn't shy away from flaunting his money and success, where as Mansa Musa doesn't hide away from showing reverence to his faith as well as his accomplishments with money. It creates a real contrast - they're both unimaginably rich, but one sees wealth as a gift from God and uses it as he believes God would like him to; the other sees wealth as his sole achievement and thinks he has the the right to do what he wants with it. It's, in essence, a battle of the objectively humble vs. the objectively arrogant.

IS THAT MY BOY SCRU FACE JEAN????? He got me back into ERB because of how hyped he gets and the analysis he gives! So glad to finally see him in Epic Rap Battles of History!
@BaylorRobinson Жыл бұрын
"Wallah, by the holy Quran I lay my hand upon I blaze Bezos Inflict inflamatory damage on" god, his first verse goes absolutely insane. probably one of the best rappers in erb history imo

Wow, can’t believe after years of reviewing ERBs Scru actually became apart of one. This is crazy!
@BiggusNickus3 жыл бұрын
Still hoping for a Knox Hill feature one day. Getting these reviewers to participate in a battle is a genius move.

Yeah, I remember him commenting on why he wasn't making new ERB reactions because he was in a project with them. Now here it is.

I love the “he rolled out, now that’s a Blue Origin” triple in there. Blue Origin being Jeff Bezos’ company, rollouts referring to rocket launches, and then the diss of his dad leaving all come together really well
@unahogan53303 жыл бұрын
also 'blue origin' can also mean 'sad beginning' if blue=sad, so thats another layer!!
@driveasandwich67343 жыл бұрын
AND the use of the word "origin" is clearly meant to evoke supervillains again

Also also, notice how he pronounces origin, he says ori-jinn, Jinn is an evils spirit in Islam. Just rewind it and watch how he tries his best to show us the reference

Scru Face Jean is an absolute natural at this. His whole second verse was amazing, but especially from "You married one woman Jeff" to "feed me Seymour lips" was one of the best sequences I've ever seen in an ERB. He should definitely come back for more.

My favourite lines have to be “allah mode” and “hire some camels”

This is easily the best erb in all of history, both the flow and the roasts from both sides where amazing and Mansa Musa has the best rap and lines in all of erb

Ya boy Scru Face Jean has been breaking down ERB raps with expertise. I'm so glad to see him finally be in one of these. And better yet, pack a sick punch with lyrics and flow.

Every time a new battle drops: 1) I listen to it over and over until it grows on me 2) Im always impressed by how the background instrumental is modified to match the environment and characters 3) The lyrics are KILLER

Scru Face Jean’s appearance is nothing less than Epic. I truly appreciate NicePeter and EpicLloyd for their continuous contribution to not just KZbin, but to our lives as fans of ERB. I’m certain that I’m not the only one that revisits these videos time and time again. Thank you.

This is so reference-heavy I actually got stressed watching it trying to pick apart the bars without stopping the video. Amazing job, Scru and the ERB team!!
