I bought both. The OG smells more fruity and vanilla. The extreme has a woody undertone so I guess that’s why they say it’s more masculine. Both good though.

Ty for making the video to educate others. After wearing it 3 days and trying to see why the difference and if my cologne was old, I noticed the notes have an added cedar wood and myrrh to it. So that’s where it’s coming from. So a twist of the original whereas I thought it was just a more concentrated version. I can def see this being more for nights and colder weather.

I haven't tried erba pura so I don't know the scent profile but I have rasasi hawas/afnan 9pm/halloween man that are also sweet and fruity. Maybe you can tell me if, with this information, I'm suited for this type of sweet DNA. Cheers man

And YES, this should fall perfectly in line with your taste, a bit brighter/lively sweetness! My humble opinion, if you're just trying the DNA, go Gold Edition! Then you can decide if you want to try the Original/Extreme; it's very similar to the OG and is the best bang for your buck 🙏🏼

Really wanted to love this one, the Gold Extreme. To me it's really feminine, super synthetic smelling, and kind of nauseating. Shame cuz I I really enjoyed their tobacco edition. Any chance it gets less harsh after sitting for a few months?

Tobacco Edition is extremely underrated; 100% agree! As for this DNA, even with the original Erba Pura, the feminity/sweetness can be cloying to a lot of people! Maceration over these next few months will definitely help refine the contents of the bottle, but see if you can alter your normal spray routine? Just a suggestion, spray areas that don't hover around your nose (avoid the chest) and cut back on the amount of sprays! I've noticed that doing this when I have that same experience, it allows me to enjoy the fragrance in a new way! Thanks for commenting, hope this helps 🙏🏼

I smelled the gold edition before but not the extreme. I like the gold edition but heard that the extreme is a more masculine (which im looking for) so do you think it would be a safe blind buy if i smelled the regular gold ed? Like is it a big difference to where it can make it smell completely different?

If you've smelt the gold edition, enjoyed it, don't own either and want a more "masculine" version of the DNA, then yes, this should be a safe blind buy!!! Now, with that said, it's also not a massive switch up either from the original so don't anticipate a HUGE difference; it should be enough though 🙏🏼

I hear you; the OG is not cheap at all! If you want one that stays fairly close to the original DNA, Gold Edition is my go-to clone of choice! Gold Edition Extreme could be considered the most "masculine" iteration of the DNA, but I personally think King by Bharara is a 🔥🔥🔥 option that doesn't get much love!

Do you get more of a creamy vanilla in the dry down from amber Oud gold edition than you do in Ebra Pura? There’s this really nice creamy vanilla in the drydown mixed with the fruits I get in amber Oud gold edition . I also pick up on this synthetic dryer sheet vibe as well in AOGE that lingers which I’m not a fan of along with a synthetic bitter woods in the dry down as well I don’t like. But the creamy vanilla makes up for the bad aspects. Is your experience similar? When did you buy your amber Oud gold edition and what kind of performance do you get from it?

I'll have to wear both same day to see how that progression actually goes but I personally get more of a fruity, musky vanilla in AOGE than a creamy vanilla in terms of that dry-down! In my experience, I've always enjoyed AOGE with no bad take-aways for me! I've had my bottle since 2020 and admittedly notice myself reaching for AOGE most! And performance wise, it's a MONSTER! If I spray on clothes, NO JOKE, it's there for days, on skin I get a solid 9+ hours!!!

But, it is still very similar so if you know you love the original and don't care to risk it, you wouldn't be missing on too much honestly! Either or, both are great alternatives to the original 🙏🏼

That's a dope suggestion, those DNA's are both on the sweeter side but very different as well! This hopeful series, will be to compare Original DNA's vs Clones! I could definitely do VS with fragrances from the Houses if people want that, but for now Original vs Clone is the move I've seen requested 🙏🏼
