We can see in that moment that Grisha doesn't know about the wall's breaking and doesn't know if Carla is safe. Eren just showed the rumbling happening. Grisha disagree with eren's dreams and tell Zeke that he must stop eren, because his euthanasia plan won't work. Later that day, Grisha comes back to wall Rose, and realize that Carla died, shadis just saved Armin, Mikasa and Eren. At this time, Grisha turned on the "fuck the word button" and gives his titan do his son. He already know that he'll survive and know all the truth about the world, so he gives the key of his house. That's my opinion

We can see that grisha come back in time and tell Kruger the phrase "Do this if you want to save mikasa and armin". He used the power of the attack titan. This phrase is told by grisha. We can see that on the episodes where eren protects armin and mikasa from the cannon ball (s1) and in this episode (s3) when his getting the titan fluid to give to eren turns on in a irrational titan

Is he even a villain though? He is more of a tragic anti villain at worst. Even then the path he took was literally the only path available where his people didnt get genocided, humanity outside the walls exist, titans are gone and most of his friends get to live long possibly happy lives. There wasn't another way. He didn't enjoy it. In fact he hated himself and never defended the "morality" of his actions. Its just that the entirety of human history, the first king, the king of the walls and the person he would inevitably become had brought him into existence, trapped him into a path he could not escape from, and forced him to perform. He was never free. And since that day where he kissed the hand he knew of his enslavement and hated himself for it and for what he would do and literally could not do anything else.

No, I think to make it seem like "Eren HAD to kill everyone" is an injustice to his character. I think Eren wanted to kill everyone not because he felt he had to but because he wanted to. Similar to how Reiner wanted to go through with the plan to kill off Paradis despite Annie & Bertholdt wanting to leave. Reiner saw the people weren't actually devils and said he went along with it anyway because he wanted to, and that's why Eren told Reiner that he's the same. There were a bunch of other plans, like using the colossal titans as a threat but not actually killing people. He could've used that massive threat to guarantee Paradis's position in the world moving forward. Or even just a partial rumbling to prove the threat and then spare the rest. He also had the power to completely undo the titan powers altogether all along once he touched Zeke, and that's proved by him just choosing to do it after his death. He went with the Rumbling because he wanted to do it since it would secure his friends' safety in Paradis in the long run at the sacrifice of billions. I think if we say that "he had no choice," then it overshadows the nuance of a protagonist of a story choosing the greater evil, saving the fewer amount of people, just because he liked those few people.

He takes on patrol through Grisha's memories for what seems 3 years or so. As time moved on its becoming more clear Grisha actually cared for Eren to Zeke's Dismay. We end up at the part where Grisha killed and Ate the founder and her family. Grisha actually broke down and decided to not kill them and to be killed. Eren being a nice edgy MC started pep talking Grisha into killing the family to save Eldia. How you wonder Eren sent back memories of the conversation he was having in real time. Let say Eren is livestreaming his POV. After the stream ended he sent back the stream to a destination where it would seem they are conversating. orrrr Eren is sending back a recording of what hes doing in real time and theres no stream delay The reason Papa G could see Zeke was cause Eren was looking at Zeke and sending him memories of it. This is single handedly the scariest moment I've seen in all of anime so far. For eren to see something like that and especially see himself in that light is legit terrifying

I just finished the manga and was absolutely stunned. Here I’m thinking eren is betraying his friends but all along he ran every possible outcome To save most of them. By far will be crying with the anime ending goes on air.

Can’t wait to witness history being made in part 2. This is gonna be incredible. I’m kinda jealous of people who haven’t read the manga. I caved in and read it. I held out as much as I could but couldn’t hold it any longer.

He didn't betray him. Eren convinced him by making him think that Carla would have been safe. So Grisha kills everyone, then cries and says to Zeke to stop Eren. If at this point he regrets what he has done and wants to stop Eren, why later did he give his Titan to him? Go back to the scenes of Season 3 when he give him his Titan... When Grisha finds out that Carla died, I bet my head that his favourite son is Eren again and not Zeke.

The way I see it. Grisha was scared of what he saw he didn’t believe in genocide like most people in the show. But once he felt the pain of having his family taken from him again he decided that he understood Erens anger and wrath and changed his mind and decided to give the titan to Eren after all
@cptfreeman8966 Жыл бұрын

This is the best manga edit ive ever seen. Thank you so much. I was an anime only at first. But after mappa it didnt feel the same anymore. Scenes didnt contain passion or emotion the animation looks stiff and character models are weirdly out of place. This is a very nice replacement. Thank you and I hope we will see more of your vision! :)

I think the thing that gets me is I understand what Grisha meant when he said to Shadris (forgot how to spell the old mans name) that erin wasnt like them. He knew what erin was capable of, because he's the one who set him on the path.
@daddy78882 жыл бұрын
It’s crazy to think about how the entire story revolves around Mikasa and Armin. The only reason Eren starts the rumbling is for the sake of his best friends. But it makes you question why didn’t he just set things up differently for him to live with mikasa and start a family with her. Would it even be possible? It’s quite tragic how things play out in the story and it makes Eren seem like the bad guy because he killed 80% of the population and even had many people killed before he even gained the attack titan/founding titan.

@Hammer56Time3 жыл бұрын
@@WazoobiumNitrate Well sort of, the Attack titan can send memories back to the past so when Eren was staring down his father calling him a pussy from the future Grisha saw what was happening through Eren's eyes not as if Eren was just standing there. That's why Grisha could only see Zeke when Eren was looking directly at him allowing him to see him.
@michaelcarnevale56203 жыл бұрын
when zeke was taking eren back through time in the paths, eren took the opportunity to communicate with grisha directly while zeke had effectively created a channel for them using the founding titan's power... eren was able to essentially trick and use zeke becuz zeke didn't know about the attack titan's ability to know the future.
