I love the fact that the Colossal Titan gives of a ton of smoke. Because assuming it's warm blooded like a mammal, it has so much volume to produce body heat that it would literally cook itself.

would’ve liked to see reiss’ faceless titan here too since he was shown to be way bigger than the colossal. also important to mention any one of the nine titans esp the colossal for this kind of stuff have control over their transformations. the titan equivalent to a nuke when transformed right logically has to use that very actively. so maybe his max size is bigger too

7:19 yep, Eren's titan is supposed to be around 15 m, so he should reach the Collossal Titan's knee with his hands. But in this shot, he can't even wrap his arms around the ankle...and not even by jumping on another 15m class titan, he would reach the knee. But it looked cool watching it.

I think the size of the titans works best within the confines of the walls. You don’t really think about the exact size of the colossal because it’s main shock and intrigue is that it’s as tall as the walls and that’s something that would be enough to terrify anybody within Eldia. It’s less about logistics and more about how it visually impacts you through its use of size and spectacle.

The colossal might be the biggest "regular" Titan, but in the series theres some example of even bigger ones, like the one burning and slouching his way towards the outer walls (this one cant stand upright though if i remember correctly - which would make sence given the physical limitations. And theres of course erens founding titan, which doesnt have a fleshy body like other titans but still is apparently way over 100m tall

From the art panels and anime, considering the cross section of other titans could fit in one of Eren's founding titan ribs, I'd say Eren's founding titan would be at least 400-500m tall and should be at least a kilometer in length

@@argusy3866 SPOILER apparently the reason why there's lightning and stuff whenever someone turns into a titan is because Ymir (the founder) constructs the body in that weird alternate dimension. The anime lost some of the subdued nature of the manga such as the Titans revealing their identity to Eren being just small talk in the background away from everyone else but the horror very uncanny valley really came across in the anime. The Santa Claus old man that originally ate Eren was damn more frightening animated than the manga which seemed to be a cut and paste of a Macy's ad.

I think the reason why Titans “feel” so big is because we don’t have anything from current day real life in the anime to actually draw a comparison.
