But looks like Isayama's favourite concept is seeing is his kids suffering. Atleast we got to see Eren's true feelings for Mikasa and the conclusion of See you later from chapter 1. All Mikasa has ever wanted was to stay by Eren's side even if she can't change his fate. And now after a long separation they saw eachother only for them to say farewell. ErenxMikasa share a "cruel yet beautiful" story.

I'm just sorry for her. She has suffered enough ... all these years, all the pain and for what? She lost everything again. We can see in her face that she is done with her life and I wish for Mikasa that she finally finds peace. She gave so much for Eren, everything she had and in the end she lost everything again. Amin is probably the only thing left to her. Eren his death is inevitable but maybe this will finally mean peace for mikasa. That sounds cruel but AOT consists of cruelty and it won't end until Eren is dead. For Mikasa it is freedom from which Eren spoke all the time. The only thing she can still redeem is to let go of him for good. She clings to the past and wishes Eren to return but we all know that it will never come to that. Remember AOT lost girls. It was already clear then that Eren would die. In the end she has to let him go and when she understands that she will be free ... free from protecting him. Love is cruel, as AOT shows us in the case of Mikasa.
