thank you this was so helpful. It worked on a Macallister impact driver as someone with little experience of fixing things, after the bit got stuck. Thanks!!

these impacts drivers work well with 1/2 anvils on them, they are actually better than there m18 stubby impact wrench, an they are smaller.

Does this actually fix the problem they've been having with them not retaining bits or is this just a general maintenance repair?

It a replacement video for the anvil. I was able to fix that problem by replacing the anvil in mine. Upon remove a bit I saw a small Steel ball fall out but I notice there was one still in the chuck but this video shows the removal and replacement of only one ball the anvil I ordered was the two ball type and it seems to work. I would assume better with the two. Still makes me wonder where that second ball came from. The anvil I took out looked like the single ball type. 🤷🏾♀️

I would’ve figured this fix out eventually but watching this video I had the anvil R&R’d in about 10 minutes.

Is there a way to use the gen 3.5 in a gen 3
@pierre-yvesdubreuil93157 ай бұрын
the last step, The retainer ring...it is a real PITA to put back on my compact impact driver m18. I had to enlarge the space between the two ends permanently just slightly with plyers (to make it easier to slide back). After, i inserted a small aluminium spacer, a cube of about a 1/4 inch wide, between the two ends to enlarge it and keep it that way until it is in place (kind of halfway ), so that i can push it finally in the groove (where it has to sit) with 2 small flat head screwdrivers. When the ring is pushed, the small bloc just snaps outs. I don't know how they put it in place that thight in the factory really....

I have one of these and the anvil is really loose and the whole thing wobbles can you tell me what part is likely to be the cause of the issue?

Hi, what grease is used inside??

You think I could fit one of these on a stubby? So just swaping out the 1/2 drive with a 1/4 hex drive.

Can you replace this anvil with a 3/8 drive?

-Better to do a impact driver to wrench conversion because the wrenches never come in cheap starter kits.-

The 2853-20 gen 3 impact driver has a plastic/teflon gear case cap. Can't tell if its threaded or press fit or what. No videos or information on that model yet whatsoever and i really dont want to tear it up. Matter of fact i can't even find a place to buy any of the the gearcase/impacting assembly parts which are all listed in the parts list. The tool has been released for over 2 years now. I would think all of the replacement parts would be available to purchase by now along with some sort of tutorial on proper disassembly.

hi Mark my black & decker keyless chuck drill the chuck busted on me how do i replace the chuck
@kevindobbins-callahan49954 жыл бұрын
You need to unscrew the retaining screw in the chuck from the chuck and hopefully it the chuck still tightens, clamp a large Allen or hex key inside the chuck and brace the drill on a table or in a vice then depending on how it’s threaded use a hammer and tap the Allen/hex key loosening the chuck from the drill. Hope this helps
