I have her @ NP5 and she is amazing. I have her @ lvl 100 but opened up all her appends (currently @ 8/10/8). If I ever get another copy I'll take her to 120 as I'm doing with Spishtar who is currently @ Lvl 113. That is a costly slow process lol

my general thoughts are: if you don’t have Melusine, Ereshkigal is probably second best buster looping lancer. and Roma, but i love Ereshkigal’s whole kit definitely worth the EX rank

Got her NP6 now to get her last append skill. Summer Nero and NP5 Morgan sometimes are just not enough to loop assassins. NP5, level 120, and max Fou Eresh gets the job done much better especially with her last append skill.

​@@feri4434 Think the general consensus is to *save* for Koyanskaya, NP1 is enough for almost all dps servants with the right supports. ZTL is 3 wave clearing quite comfortably with grailed NP1 Ereshkigal so it probably isn't necessary for NP2. For my account, saving for Koyanskaya is probably my number 1 priority and that's because I can't comfortably 3 turn clear without having to borrow somebody else's Koyanskaya. *WITHOUT* a Koyanskaya support (with Eresh at NP2, Kaleidoscope, and 2nd Append) I have difficulty completely clearing the 3rd wave in one turn and also need to rely on an Arash for 1st wave clear. This is because I only have 1 servant that can provide a 50% battery (which is Waver), but when I also have a Koyanskaya support I can both push the dps to clear the final wave *AND* have enough charge to 3 turn clear comfortably. So yeah, probably save for Koyanskaya, I only got her NP2 because I tried to summon for Nero, when I got my 2nd copy of Ereshkigal, I took that as a sign from Nasu to stop pulling. Funnily enough, similar thing happened when I was pulling for Summer Kama, I just wanted more copies of Caenis.

As much as I love eresh, the fact that melusine exists reduces her value quite a bit sadly. I have eresh at np3 lvl120 full fous and she does almost 30% less dmg than my lvl100 np2 melusine with the same comp and ce. And since melusine gets another rate up in december iirc, I'd strongly recommend going for melusine for anyone who had to choose between them. Especially newer players will get much more value out of meluine due to the fact that she doubles as a ST unit. Also on another note: eresh's first skill insta kill immunity seemed to be bugged for me as it didn't protect her in the old man hassan quest during nero fest whereas her blessing of kur/np instakill buff did protect her so that's a weird thing to keep in mind.

I agree that Melusine is by far the superior damage dealer, though I think one should also consider their versatility in different compositions. Melusine is great at many things, but I'd honestly consider Eresh to be better at challenge quests because of all her resistances, team wide healing, teamwide atk buff, and so on. She can work together with a second dmg dealer as a pseudo support, or just perform strongly together with Merlin and Castoria. Something that Melusine can't do as easily, granted, Melusine couuuuld always just one shot the enemies, but well

@@literalgarbage8014 a year ago I would've agreed to that but lately it seems fgo is moving a lot closer towards one-shot territory with bosses, especially in challenge quests. And based on my own experiences the longer it takes me to kill a boss, the worse my chances of clearing the quest become, so unless there are very specific situations I prefer comps with high dmg output over defensive capabilities. And if I wanna stall I'm gonna pick double castoria and have an invul shield over me most of the time or use guts tanks. Don't get me wrong, I love eresh and I put a ton of mats into her, but sadly I noticed that I almost never use her, even after her np buff. I thought the hassan quests during nero fest were her time to shine due to her insta kill immunity effects but even there she was completely outperformed by meluko because the latter has a built in 100% consistent death resitance passive in her third ascension (which is mentioned nowhere btw, I just found that out during those quests).

Here's my dilemma I've been a Rin simp all the way back when I read the UBW route of the original FSN novel more than a decade ago. So yeah.... Ereshkigal is an auto must summon for me... Here's the problem.... I already have the strongest lancer in the game AKA Melusine with plans of going balls deep into her upcoming december banner in order to hopefully get her to as close to NP5 as I possibly can. I've already spent 19 tickets and 100sq on Blonde Rin and got min roll after min roll I ask my fellow inmates in the gacha hell... Should I keep going for Ereshkigal and sacrifice my Lolilot war chest, or do I resist temptation and pray that there's an Ereshkigal banner after I blow my entire load into Lolilots banner?

Eresh is a top tier waifu, but I'm saving my AOE lancer slot for ROMA-kun. I'm just not sold on her skills with the one turn Buster buff and weak attack power. Also, aside from the hits on her Arts card, her deck sucks, with low numbers on both Buster and extra, and an unfortunate second Quick card.

It's a lesser consideration, but there are some things. Certain characters actually have lower damage due to one hit Busters like Emiya, etc. If you have a crit star gen buff, they will produce less stars. You get less NP gain if you lead off with an Arts card with one hit. Overall, more hits is always better.@@amai2307

Having another stronger servant doesn't make her less premium. She's really good and can farm comfortably class disadvantage. She's definitely at the top of her class.

They clearly have completely different roles. Eresh has 30% aoe gain and 20% atk up, she is a Wave 1 clearer for 6-slot like morgan. While Melusine is a servant for 90++ nodes. Or 6-slot taking wave 2 and 3 With Oberon, a 50%charge aoe servant for w1 and 10% charge mc
