The video was shot with a Canon HG20 video camera which was on the market in 2008. It still produces good video quality in 1080p even now in 2024.
Unlike modern digital cameras, the HG20 was fairly basic and best used on a tripod for the best results. As you'll see from the video of the Erewash Canal, the picture quality and the audio were great for year the camera was released.
