Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. It’s definitely still a ski area, these days it’s Heli skiing mainly but if you were keen enough you could walk or skin to the top and ski it, just no more vehicle access.

Sorry no, because it’s a private bookable hut, it’s locked unless you have the code to get in 😞

@nzhikingadventures oh ok so not on public land...Gotch ya....oh well nice hut too bad there no trees around to have a fire haha 😆 car can't get up there now that holes in the ground be shit in the winter with no wood

@ the hut is private but the whole area is public DOC so can access anytime. The hut does have fireplace with wood provided you just have to book the hut.
