The overlap of the vertebrae transforms the spine into a dynamic tower, whose stability must be achieved with active anchors. A stiff seat prevents the legs from keeping their spine in balance and when they get tired, the back looks for support points, collapsing into the backrest. Keeping the back supported for long periods leads to atrophy of the postural muscles.

I just got a herman miller embody chair but is giving me neck pain. What could be the issue, my previous office chairs which were good didn't give me any type of pain. Thank you

Are your keyboard/mouse at elbow height? Your trapezius might be overtensed if you always have to keep your arms lifted.

90 degrees is the old OSHA standard and not correct. Your a PT so think of neutral posture open angles arms should be at about 122 degrees and legs at about 133 degrees. Please use the new standards while doing educational videos. 90 degrees is flexion correct?
