Funny thing is they say northern comics were unheard of or 'risky' for a BBC audience yet the warm-up guy for their Running Wild show was depicted as a northern comic so if that were correct then obviously they felt a northern accent was good enough to relax an audience 'off-camera' so why wouldn't that be the same 'on-camera'?
