Eric Morecambe was probably the greatest genius in British comedy history, sadly he was a perfectionist workaholic who smoked heavily & drank which all caused his severe heart issues & he passed away in 1984 after a theatre performance, also that year two other great British comic talents passed away-Tommy Cooper died live on television during a stage performace & Leonard Rossister also died after a theatre performance, also from heart attacks. M&W used to do insane viewing figures in the 1970's-at some points pretty much half the country were watching their Christmas Specials.

I’d love to see your reaction to the sketch that was up next after this one. The Morecambe and Wise sketch with Andre Previn is one of the greatest of all time. It’s old now but it’s genius the way they did it.
