If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. @@ThePurpleMushroom umm sitting down and thinking/coming up with a "skit" is an idea. Also making a script, finding actor's, rehearsing the skit, getting costumes and having everyone meet somewhere to record the skit is reality. It's all planned just like Eric's ideas and all happened, except key and Peele put much more thought, work, effort into what they do and have more talent. Also only difference from the key and Peele skit and Eric's is that Eric does his play or idea in front of people who aren't aware it's a joke or for a show. And in this video Eric and his actors didn't even really talk or interact with the bystanders. They just ran around and chased each other to put on a show for the video.

Dekulink333 Really? a wiki page? With nothing specified within it? Nothing stating why exactly he was against the expansion of slavery on this page. What case are you trying to make exactly? That Lincoln wanted to end slavery? You have provided nothing here that indicates that Lincoln did in fact support the emancipation of slaves, as an actual political reality, for any reason other than that it was a model that conflicted with the more powerful Northern elites. Lincoln was about doing what the rich wanted, first and foremost, he is not the arbiter of morality, justice, or decency. He was an agent of the ruling class and did not stand for democracy. Send my your paper if you wish.

Dopesauce42 Lincoln was always morally opposed to slavery, and made his opposition to its expansion unmistakeably clear in his famous debates with Steven Douglas. While It is true that he did not enter into the war against the southern states for the purpose of 'ending slavery,' he did aggressively push for the 13th amendment to be passed, even doing so at some considerable amount of risk to his own short term interests. We can say with the utmost confidence that the Northern cause was really fought for duel purposes. The Civil War first began as a ideological contest over the solubility of the Union, and rapidly evolved into a war for liberation. To say otherwise reveals either ignorance or shameless revisionism.
