Zidane sort of played the same role as Cantona though. If you had 2 you'd probably have less balance. (And if both got provoked, you might have 9 men lol...and Vieira as well, that's 8men....and Blanc & Desailly also got sent off in that tournament 😂).

Porto team talked a big game. In world soccer magazine..Jardel dismissed them but did say Cantona was a mystical figure and they had to watch out for him. The late sir Bobby Robson also poo poo'd Uniteds chances. It was au revoir Porto. United made them their bitches that day. United should have beaten Dortmund and Eric should have had a winners medal. Never mind, what a star!

Well they still would have had to have beaten Juventus in the final so, no, he wouldn't have got a winners medal . Cantona was great against Fenerbache & Porto but when he came against better defenders like Montero & Ferrara at Juventus and Sammer & Kohler at Dortmund he was poor .
