Eric: I've been teaching ppl how to use these things for eons. Buchla or otherwise. I want to say that I really appreciate your approach to this. Examining what some would consider highly technical sound construction in terms a composer can understand. bravo

thanks very much Peter. I really hope to make some better versions one of these days - this was just captured complete with students in front of the camera much of time and without any cut-aways. It would be nice for people to be able to see the individual modules as things are explained. I do appreciate the encouragement.

I'm not sure how much experience you have on other modular platforms, but I'm curious to know how much of a hassle it is to have to deal with multiple cable types when patching. Or if it is actually beneficial? I have a euro system, like most people who are into modular these days, so I only deal with one type of cable for a patch. It could be a hassle, but sometimes those minor details that look like a pain, actually influence how you think about your process and how you implement it. That can be a good thing. Perhaps it's such a minor issue, you've never even noticed. Just curious. Thanks.

I've worked on Moog, Arp, Electrocomp, and Serge systems, which use single cables, but never found it a hassle dealing with Buchla. The Serge has no distinction between control and audio signals, which is fun, but it is kind of nice having them set up this way and it is also more clear visually.

Hi Eric. The only module I do not recognize is the second from the left on the bottom row of the top right cabinet. Care to enlighten me? Thanks.
