hes a family friend of some of my grandparents and their brothers, sisters, and cousins. Went to a church here in tuscaloosa with them when they were younger. said hes a absolutely great guy!

I bought this on cassette tape when it was brand new at Walmart in 92 with my allowance when I was 11 years old and it started my love affair with the blues. (42 now) I've had some of these songs and guitar licks in my head for over 30 years. What a great album

The solo is an epitome of taste and finesse. Bluesy with Classical subtleties. Slowhand playing with enough speed to elevate the song. Clapton is also an underrated rhythm player. Lastly, Chuck Leavel is a gem

Mi primer CD que me regaló mi viejo. No era fanático de Eric Clapton ni lo soy, pero como músico si hay un tema que marcó mi forma de apreciar la música es éste. No encuentro palabras para describir lo que Chuck Leavell está haciendo. No es tocar un instrumento, lo que toca es el alma a a través de uno. Inicia en el segundo 0:16" en respuesta a la guitarra con 5 notas que resumen lo que vendrá. Sin ostentar ni presumir convierte un tema en una canción en la que la guitarra y el piano entablarán una relación de pasión y armonía. Sí, el solo de piano es increíble, pero lo más increíble es que como en toda relación de un viejo amor lleno de respeto y comprensión cada uno tendrá su momento de hablar pero sólo llegarán al ocaso habiendo aprendido a escuchar.

This is the best song and guitar I ever heard. This song was playing in the background of my childhood video recordings when i was a baby. Ive listened to this version over thousands of times throughout my life and it still gives me goosebumps, and I still get so excited about these solo’s.

The resolve at the end of the solo is the best of all time. Been listening to it over and over since I was 9. Im 41 now and adore this set. My mums friend went to school with Eric, and managed to get him to sign a copy of his autobiography for my 30th birthday. My mum passed 6 years ago, and the book Is my most treasured possession

Ok I was maybe 14 when I finally was able to watch this unplugged video and I spent the summer watching this on repeat to learn to play it. I was upset cause I didn't have a capo to be able to sing it in my range, so I literally broke my voice to sing at his key hahahahahahahaha Good memories! Fast forward about 15 years and I got golden circle tickets to watch him play in Melbourne. That was soo cool but wishing it was an intimate show now I am watching the Unplugged recording! Top 10 artists for me
