EXACTLY!!! The solo by Vince Gill is just sublime and Eric recognises it. Notice also the little look he gives Vince after he's finished (just as Albert Lee takes over). Professional respect right there.

Huh, this is a different cut than what is on the DVD. This edited out the awkward first solo where it wasn't clear who was supposed to be soloing, between Jerry Douglas and Eric Clapton. (Which still sounded amazing.)

Agreed- but better he does that than wear bell bottoms, a puffy-sleeved shirt, and thinning hair down to his butt. That would look gawd awful! Better to age gracefully!
