crazy performance! I've been obsessed with this specific youtube video for like... 5 years. Every few months I remember this exists and then I listen ten times. Absolutely gorgeous music. I hope to find enough time to learn this piece someday. Thanks for posting!

It's so awesome that you deliver an insanely good concerto performance and then you just whip off Cameleon at the end like it's nothing :) Top-notch performances!!

Fantastic performance. Such relaxed playing which many people don't do when playing marimba and it comes through on your sound! Bravo!

While it wasn't my favorite combination, it was excellently done. The orchestra could have used work on their dynamics, but it's not easy to compliment the dynamics of a Marimba. Overall great writing and it's great to see Marimba front and center-stage ;)

Beautiful! That rear camera angle threw me for a loop every time with the higher notes still coming through the left channel in the audio but appearing on the right side of the frame in the video.

Just copying the timings here with colons instead of periods so they'll be clickable links: I - Andante - Allegro vivace (00:03) II - Andante cantabile (11:05) III - Allegro con fuoco (22:43) Bis: Eric Sammut - Caméléon (31:47)

I'm a high schooler in my city's youth symphony, and I was hoping to perform a concerto for marimba. It has to be one movement and 10 minutes or less, so I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what I should play. It of course doesn't have to be one of these that you performed, but since you seem experienced, I was hoping you could help. Thanks

Well played Daniele. Nothing against the performers, I’m just not a huge fan of Ewazen as a composer. All his stuff comes across as very cloying to me. People seem to like it though, so at least it moves somebody.
