great presentation, the UVA memorial has such a life to it. it reminds me of the vietnam veterans memorial of course but also the national memorial for peace and justice (aka lynching memorial) in AL

They talk about no tenure given in 10 years like you have to be from Mars to get a tenure in their school. This tenure stuff in academia has become such a silly and stupid privilege for even more vacuous reasons
