Oh God, he even replicated the best live tone ever created by mankind

Haha I'm glad you noticed! There's still something missing from the Marshall lead tone IMO, but I'll have to figure out what in the future. The original tone that mine was modeled after sounds more "three-dimensional" to me. I've gotten pretty good at using the Kemper to great effect for all kinds of tones however, so if you liked the sounds on display in this video you should subscribe to the channel. I'll be doing more covers of Eric's work, in addition to other bands and originals in the future. :)

The “patience” that you hear/feel is EJ playing behind the beat. He is a MASTER of this - creating the illusion of subtle variations in tempo by anticipating the beat or letting it slip slightly past him. It’s this combined with rhythmic variation (straight vs swung notes and all the places in between) and volume dynamics that explains why some people can play the same notes as him with the same tone but just sound robotic in comparison.

Nailing the tone is impossible enough but nailing the feel is incredible.

Thanks so much, man! The next cover from the concert that I'll be doing is "Camel's Night Out". Such a fun song! I'm looking forward to doing the video.

Wow, what incredible talent. There's so much going on in the song. I can't even remember all the riffs, let alone play them. Supremely talented human! Love it.🎸

What a spot on cover ! You matched everything here ! Brilliant job creating the tone, I haven't gotten anywhere near that with kemper.

I've seen a lot of covers of this song, and many are good, but this is the best I've ever seen by a mile. Tone, performance, everything. Hopefully the algorithm catches this one and your channel.

Thanks so much, Aaron! It looks like the algorithm is picking it up; the rate at which the view count rises has, itself, been rising. If you haven't subscribed yet, I'd appreciate it a whole lot if you did! I'll be posting more videos of even better quality as I become more adept at creating videos and mixing the direct-input audio recordings I use in them/editing the videos themselves in terms of shot cuts/transitions. And I'm more than positive you'd enjoy those future videos just as much as this one! :)
