I really think Trademark is Eric's best song for showcasing his unique range of tones and playing styles. Heard live, his clean tone will change your life!

Oh yeah. For sure on the clean tone, man! Through the house board mixed in with the natural sound from the amps. Especially early days. The old Fenders and that memory man . Holy crap.

He really makes authentic goodness of his Chet Atkins influence. Even synthesizes that Wes Montgomery in this chord phrasing

I first attended an Eric Johnson concert in 1993.Let me tell you ,it changed my life, that is as far as the scope of the 6 srting guitar. I have been a fan since then and a student of Eric's.

He´s always redefining "clean" and "perfect". Cannot quit listening to him, everytime, for real. When I´m at work I try to hide mp3 and keep listening to it. Listen to my last favourite song from him: Enzo Shuffle!

simply brilliant. The way he uses chords is just jaw-dropping... creating different melodies at the same time. Rewards close and multiple listen

I love the sound he gets out this particular 1958 "strat". The 57s are great also, but this one is ballsier. And I know its a 58 because that was the first year of the 3 color sunburst as 54 thru 57 were the 2 color tobacco bursts.

Oh yes, I totally agree - Jimi Hendrix is the all time master of the electric guitar. He is officially regarded as the greatest and most inventive rock and blues guitarist ever. I used to have one of the largest Hendrix collections in the world.

Check out his first instructional video or DVD for details on this, but theoretically you finger one or more notes on the fretboard and then hit the string or strings fingered half-way for a harmonic.

Cool ! Probably my favorite EJ tune. I think the drummer is Bill Maddox from the old band EJ was in, The Electromagnets. It looks like him to me.

Tom Morello is very innovative with the use of effects/using the guitar in unsually ways (toggle switching). EJ is more of a virtuoso type guitarist. They are both in my top 10 guitar players.

There should just be G2 - Jeff Beck and Eric Johnson. Nobody does more with a Strat than these two masters.

What about David Gilmore? I think those 3 have achieved objectively perfect sounds from a Guitar using strats
