no he does not, don't kid yourself..i've been listening and watching Eric since mid-1984, he is definitely not the same anymore... age will get us eventually; i just watch him perform in the G3 reunion tour, his arthritis is getting worse and you can tell... still love him though ❤

Obviously that was an exaggeration 🙄 And what exactly is "mid 1984"? June of 1984? If so, what a noob. I saw him and Christopher Cross playing in a bar in Shreveport La before the album "Christopher Cross" was released. No one knew who either of them were, but the rest is history.

Its always just a pure joy to listen to EJ play. 70 years young and can play circles around today's players. I only hope that more young people look at their guitar roots and look to Eric Johnson's clean and crisp style.

This dude is 69 years old! Props to him. That’s a phenomenal song. I remember when I was a teacher about 15 years ago I taught the kids about the best guitarrist in the world and used that song. We had a rock theme and the kids were about 5 years old… it’s cool to see after 15 years some of those kids now have bands and love music. I remember we rented the theatre and made a big rock festival and invited all parents and other classes to watch us rocking! I was the only adult on stage playing the guitar and kids had instruments they made themselves. We rehearsed for months and they recorded everything. I felt so accomplished… I wish I had that footage! Now it’s just memories

Great to see Roscoe Beck on bass. Saw him early 90's at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo with Robben Ford, and he damn near stole the show. Robben was gracious enough to give him space, and let him solo at length, and he brought the house down.

Agreed ....99 percent would not be even holding a guitar and playing a chord progression let alone play Cliffs of Dover or Trademark...Thats why i have immense respect for people like Eric or Gilmore or A. Young or the Maiden trio or the likes in their genres who still perform to their best of the abilities so that many people can have their first show of their fav artist ...age catches up these guys are legends who healed us all with music. If Eric even playes Happy birthday to you i would pay and see it.

What's sad is you expecting someone to play something note for note 100% the exact same way for 30 years and not be bored to death. He hasn't fucked up once in the entire video. He's ALWAYS improved little licks here and there like any guitarist who's worth a shit. If I went to see this man and it sounded exactly like the album I'd be upset. I hear there's a Tupac hologram tour or some shit you might enjoy. Or motley Crue. I think both of those are played to a backing track. Just close your eyes and it's perfect...

Personally I think it’s more about the joy of coming together through music through all the years.
