Agreed! I love the syncopation in his rhythm parts especially during this live version and the little nuisances he throws in here and there that are different from the studio version ! Such a gem his playing was soooo clean and sparkly during this era and still is ! Absolute legend.

This first time I ever heard of or saw SRV was when Eric took me to a small bar on 6th St? or Congress in Austin called After Hours or After Ours because it was open after hours. SRV and LouAnn Barton and band were the Double Trouble act. Good times.

Saw Eric very early on in college station and houston, in 1982. Small venues front row, be cause my friend knew Tommy Taylor. Got to sit in on sound check then show. The man is a God!

Still! It's was a lifetime ago that I heard about Eric from a friend in Austin. Shortly after, I went to see him in a small club in Santa Barbara. 25 years ago, and he looks the same, and plays more awesome than ever! Smooth and luxurious.

Eric is my favourite guitar player ever, he is an outstanding musician with the best taste I've ever seen in one. Listening to one of his songs is for me like being in an Art gallery repeatedly, where you discover new amazing things in paintings you know very well, his music has this effect. Man I wish he gets a lot of positive things and happiness, because his music has brought so much joy in the life of so many.

I just discovered him this month and he blows my mind. Yes, I knew of Cliffs of Dover in Guitar Hero but I thought it was just one of those one hit wonder songs. Never did I realize the skill and technique in his playing and how impressive it is to watch and listen. He just announced a USA tour on his website/facebook. So awesome to find out I'll get to see him live in February.
