The beauty of Eric right here. Imagine wanting to be an actor, being allowed to write ANY role you want for yourself and you pick an off camera role then tell the person backing it purely out of the kindness of their heart to go fuck themselves if they don’t like it

God, the spontaneity on the show back then was still great. In fact, those first few years at Sirius are some of the best in the shows history. Not knowing about the script, then Artie reading it instead just had this flow to it, and he and Howard still had a good flow. And I know a lot of people give him grief, but I personally loved George as an addition to the show. It just felt so inspired, weird, and something you just would never think of, but through the interviews, Howard's love of sci-fi, the Sulu Dance and "You know, I don't really think this is Ricardo Mont-al-bon", they made George into a character they would riff on before that led to his hiring. Man, there was a time when this show was the funniest entertainment in any medium. Now it is sad and irrelevant....and shockingly unfunny.
