I saw him on tour with Vai. As huge a fan of Vai as I am, this guy was the show. Some nobody (to me) opening act and I was floored. He is a great musician, guitar player and performer.

Spoke to Eric after a gig at Chan's in Woonsocket RI a few years ago. Pretty cool guy. Unlike most blues-rock guys, he has a lot of hard rock fans in his audiences as well, due to opening shows for Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. If you like these demo performances, you absolutely HAVE to check him out in a full-fledged concert atmosphere. Simply amazing.

No, it's just a different way to tune the guitar, open D is DADF#AD if I'm not mistaken and the capo just makes it "open E" as it brings all the notes two steps up. Can't remember what open G is but you can look it up.

Very generous and inspirational..I went out and got a capo that I first lost a couple a months ago.. The Dobro doesn't do well in the live scene( too much throttlel) so shortening the neck brightens the tone and cuts the feedback..maybe

@sectec77 the cutaway resonator is a washburn, not sure of the model name, look it up, someone will know, they are putting it into production soon, the other one is a really really old national that he modified with a better neck and the lipstick pup.
