O M G.... In this scenario, I'm Erica, my wife is Geoff and my wife's brother is Geoff's sister. INSANELY the same dynamic. He even became a musician after college. hahahaha

Except for the actually succeeding in becoming a musician, I have seen that scenario in a LOT of families. I don't know if the family just does not realize they are showing favoritism or they know it and don't care. I knew one kid who almost killed himself over it when he was around 15, he could do no right and he his younger brother could do no wrong. When he was asked why the suicide attempt, he had to make something up, because he knew there would be hell to pay if he even mentioned his treatment vs. his brother's. Fortunately, his grandfather had noticed the problem for years and was able to point it out to the parents (mainly the mother) of the two boys. Of course she was PISSED that anyone would point out the obvious inequality in treatment, but it may have ended up saving the one kid's life in the big picture.

@@nathanpearl2321 - Yup. My wife has had lifelong depression in part because of the “You always suck and your brother is always awesome” mentality she grew up with. It’s made worse by the fact that my wife is independent with a job that pays rent and bills and her brother gets his rent paid for by their parents... yet he’s their do no wrong son. We’re even Jewish, so this video is SPOT ON us. Haha

I thought so too for a while until the Season 5 episode the living room. In that episode Linda Schwartz says the words “my children”. I was so shocked to hear that Geoff wasn’t an only child.

It wasn't always like this. In the earlier seasons, it was actually pretty funny. By season 6, it started getting kind of dumb, but it was still better than most comedies. But at season 7, adam goldberg stepped down as showrunner, and that's when it really started getting stupid. Plus, in the earlier seasons, Pops was a main character just like the rest of the family, and now we barely see him anymore. I'm still a fan of the show, but I can't say that I enjoy it as much as I used to☹.

Shut up. This is the first time the goldbergs actually made a good episode. Btw this shiw was very old as well. 2009 it was made. If it was a modern family rip off it would have took at least 2 more years to produce the show. Fuck off.

@@stevencambi8746 hey no need to be hostile just because someone else is. It's just a tv show. And although I liked this episode, it was kind of 'meh' in comparison to some of the earlier seasons. It's far from the best episode. Just take a deep breath my friend. Also, the goldbergs first premiered in 2013(or maybe you knew that? It was kind of hard to tell if you were talking about this or modern family)
