However, not many know that she started off in the South Indian film industry and was seven films old when she first did Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. The show took her popularity to another level. Tracing her journey from films to TV, Erica Fernandes recalled being thin-shamed earlier on and how she felt disrespected because of that. Erica also opened up on the difficulties she faced back then with Hindi not being her first language. However, overcoming all of that, Erica has thrived and how. The actress also opened up on the backlash she received after she decided to quit Kuch Rang Season 3 and if there was ever an issue with her co-star Shaheer Sheikh. Erica, pls Don't simply blame saying South... I have seen galipatam telugu movie and you were not padded. We have accepted the way you were. This anchor too has that negative baggage of "south " in her mind and passing comments. We loved your acting in kuch rang and we have seen the episodes repeatedly.
