Erica never so much as saw the baby! How was she supposed to recognize her 24 years later? They were literal strangers. Kendall was the only one who knew the truth, and instead of coming to Erica, she spent months lying to her about who she was while trying to sabotage her life! As soon as Erica knew the truth and realized that it WAS true, she bent over backwards to try to find Kendall! Kendall's anger was SO misplaced - Erica was 14. What did Kendall expect? To be raised by a 14 year old?

She overheard her adoptive parents talking about her being adopted. She was angry with them at first then she goes to find her biological mother just to find out that she has another child that she kept and is raising while she was given up for adoption. It made her feel like she wasnt wanted so she became extremely angry and vindictive as most people do in those situations. her emotions were definitely justified and she didnt know Erica was only 14 or that she was raped she just felt like her mother didnt want her.Now she couldve handled the situation better but she had a right to feel what she was feeling

@jrchandlerfan 2.0 yeah Sarah Michelle Gellar was only 16 at the time, but they made the Kendall character 24, which puts her birth year at 1966, about 4 years before AMC’s 1970 premiere. Erica was 18 when AMC began.

Sweet and loved by everyone...and now Miranda is just like Erica....and she blames Bianca for everything that goes wrong in her life now! lmao. When that Hunter guy humiliated Miranda, she blamed it all on Bianca!!!!! LMAO I wonder who Gabby will take after and if Spike and Ian will do the same with Kendall, who took after Erica as well!

Susan Lucci was about 24 when she started the show in 1970. The character was 15. So Erica would have gotten raped in 1968 or 1969; depending on when her birthday fell. But I read they later re-aged everything so that it happened in 1976; which would have been about 2 husbands in - LOL!

Susan was 28 years older than Alicia and 31 years older than Sarah. When the show premiered, Erica was already 6 years younger than Susan was in real life and they kept moving Erica's birth year around, in large part because of Kendall.

Did you not watch AMC in the early 90s? Bianca was NOTHING like Mona until Eden Riegel took over. Young Bianca was Erica made over and only became a Mona clone because God forbid a character be a lesbian AND a b*tch. Even then with Eden playing Bianca, Bianca still had a baby with her brother-in-law without bothering to even consult her sister about it first. Bianca has plenty of Erica in her when the writers are willing to let it loose.

After seeing these scenes again after all these years... It really makes since why Erica has been the way she has been after all these years when you think about it. Her father whom she adored Eric Kane, abandoned Mona and Erica when she was a little girl to do be a big star in film and movies. Then Erica got raped by her father's friend Richard Fields on her 14th birthday, got pregnant by him, gave the baby up for adoption and remained in denial that her father really wanted her while blaming her mother, Mona of being old fashioned and too settled to keep her father married to her. For years, Erica felt unloved, unwanted, skeptical and sometimes untrusting towards others while she want to be the opposite of Mona to be a big celebrity like her father while searching for a father figure through the husband's and men she's been with doing conniving and selfish antics in the process cause she is fearing no matter what she'll do the men will abandon and leave her life just like her father did. But, when she had Bianca there was a softening in Erica to make her realize she truly has to share her love more than herself... Although, Erica's relationship was complex at times, but deep down Erica loved Mona deeply knowing that nobody truly loved her as much as Mona did.

first of all.....bianca was a child in the 90s. so that is all im going to say about that. 2nd. the creation of gabby was so out of character that that is why eden riegel didn't want to play the part any more. everyone has always said bianca is like mona and miranda will be like erica. once miranda is older...yeah she's going to be just like erica. that whole gabby storyline was that writers way of running the show in the ground. eden didn't even like that.
