There were so many older "christian" women tearing her up in the live comments and speaking word curses over her relationship. This is why the younger generation strays away from y'all. Let's not judge someone that has participated in the same sins we have. As a matter of fact, read Titus 2. Be that in their lives. Tell them where, when, and how you messed up, be a shoulder to lean on even if you don't agree with HOW she's doing, PRAY for her, & speak life over her. Y'all turn into whole witchy saints when your sin ain't on broadcast. This "auntie" can be honest and tell her I was dropping it low & shacking too. Testify. Don't test & deny.

I am 47 and said the same thing. I made mistakes and me being transparent with my daughter is what makes her be transparent with me. Acting like we have never sinned is what keeps the youth away. We should be listening without judgment, praying for you all and steering you in the right direction not tearing you all down. I apologize on behalf of those tearing you all down.

quite unrelated, but perfect marriages or relationships are an illusion; each one is distinct. What suits one couple may not suit another. However, I've come to understand that there's always a way out of difficult situations. Five years ago, my wife and I were facing divorce because of marital issues, but we managed to reconcile. It was a challenging period, but we made it through.

@ZendelAtkinson KING THANK YOU!! It hurts seeing our children (the next generation) attempting to fix what was/is obviously broken in their parents/our lives by using “tools” of this world which are actually weapons of their/our demise. YAH is the Creator, Maker and Giver of marriage. And Sex is His wedding gift to honor it. Actually, it IS the Altar of Marriage before Heaven. Yet there are NO perfect “I do’s” because we are all sinners being transformed by Grace. Broken people remaining malleable to be broken and remolded time and time again… every time being more closely conformed to the image of Christ.

The maturity in her voice and her self awareness is dope. Can many of us in our 40's say that we sounded this self-ware at her age? The majority of us did...not. While her path has twists and turns...I believe that she will reach the destination that God had for her. His grace is sufficient...

Her counselor helped her to become self aware, so she did not know as well! It always takes a mentor or wise person to help us to grow in areas where we’re immature, no matter the age! I was very mature as a young girl but still thought in my own eyes that I was doing everything correctly. Until God showed me who I was at the age of 33. Had just separated from my then husband and was with him for 21 years, 7 married at that point. When the pupil is ready the teacher will appear. Blessings on her growth and more to come! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Laterras, the true beauty of today's show wasn't what you initially anticipated your guest would share with the audience, but rather what God needed you to convey to her. Every word spoken resonated deeply with her, as if breathing new life into her soul. She embraced the reminders and constructive feedback you provided, demonstrating openness and receptiveness. Let's also acknowledge her partner, who absorbed the message through proximity. Sometimes, we don't need to be at the center of something to reap its full benefits. I'm overjoyed by the way God used you in this moment. Erica is embarking on a path toward great things, and I believe she will be blessed increasingly and abundantly beyond measure.

That was so sweet. As an older woman, I truly felt no ways. There are no guarantees in life. A person can do everything "right" or everything "wrong" and marry a nightmare or marry an awesome person or never marry at all. We all just need to live our lives aiming to please our Heavenly Father and doing what He said. If we do that, no matter what our marital status, our lives will be blessed and purpose-filled.

She seems like a sweet young lady, and I hope she gets set free from idolatry..anything we put before God is idolatry. I pray her and her boyfriend grows in the grace and knowledge of Christ. Her boyfriend, Trevon has human wisdom and sounds logical, just wondering if he is a Christian. Are they equally yoked? Psalm 1, Don't stand in the counsel/advice of the ungodly. Our thoughts of God are too human.

The past is the past and we all need God's new mercy every morning. That being said, we as believers have a responsibility to speak the truth in love. I believe that Erica has made an idol out of her boyfriend/relationship. She knows she's not living in a way that she or God agrees with, but she's continuing to stay because of the time she has invested and the soul tie she is currently under. If Erica is serious about marrying her boyfriend, she needs to move out of that high-rise immediately, get her own apt and stop all sex with her boyfriend until she is his WIFE. I know that sounds harsh, but Erica said herself that she loves the Lord, and she's struggling to grow closer to Him. The reason she's struggling is because she's living in a way that grieves the Holy Spirit. If her boyfriend truly believes she's his wife, he'll come correct and marry her. But right now he has no incentive to marry her because she's already giving him husband benefits without him having to legally claim her or establish a covenant. I don't doubt that he loves her, but there are different types of love. I wouldn't be surprised if he's staying with her out of a feeling of obligation, since he moved her to a whole new state and agreed to look after her.

I'm no longer a spring chicken and imma say kudos to this young lady for learning who she is early and knowing what she wanted and able to attract it. I've learned there isn't a cookie cutter formula to being in a relationship. It is trial and error. I'd love to see them get married, but marriage is meant to last past the wedding. So my prayer is that she gets what she wants by December and is able to put herself first if needed. I love how you mix it up Bro. Laterras!

Dating and living together for four years, then giving your future husband an ultimatum to marry you before the end of this year?? Did I miss something? Let me know. That’s not it. At all. I’m not one of those old married women who feigns premarital purity, or looks the other way when I see sin..they need to marry or separate. I don’t say cohabiting is wrong because it is…I say it because I did it first and the LORD says it is. It’s dangerous to promote or condone sin. After a year of dating..without living together…and no sex..going through the seasons of life and meeting your families and working through the differences..you already know if the person is your mate. Beyond a year, you’re trying to gaze into a crystal ball and see things you will not see before you get married. In other words you’re wasting time.

Correct, I don't know her but, I get a childish vibe from her and a very materialistic vibe also. Idc how good a man is to me, 5 years is too long. She literally has to give him an ultimatum to propose, that's no way to begin a marriage. She said she Love's God. If you told this man that you didn't want to have sex until ya'll get married, how would he respond? That's how you find out how "good a man is" and how much he Loves and values you.

Her energy is so electric! I loved her perspective and how her and her person is navigating their relationship. I do agree with you telling her to stand in her truth and I pray her ultimatum does not stand in the way of her person doing what he feels when he’s ready and her being ready for whatever outcome… great episode LT.

1:04:23 my main criticism for you LT is you have a heart for ppl and think you know what ppl are really thinking or feeling and honestly I wish you would stop being so matter of fact with your interviewees bc real talk you don’t really know their intentions. It’s good to speak well over them but what if this young man has no intentions of marrying her, you could be leading her astray or getting her hopes up for Your thoughts and Your opinion! I always support you regardless but that needed to be said. Just like the Derrick interview, you made it seem like you were seeing a change in him when in reality he could be there for an ulterior motive. Just don’t be so quick to assume ppl have the heart of God when their actions show different. Know them by their fruit and pray for their awakening

@@roslyntrotter-harmon4111 I think LT means well but a lot of his sentiments are projections and I wish he would see that. It’s not about Who he has on, it’s him trying to align with them, regardless of their current lifestyles and stances… that is a problem imo and turns ppl off. But again. He means well and I am only here to give constructive feedback

@@LaurenDenise exactly Lauren. I really don’t have an issue with it IF it was not on a public platform. Bc he has a vast audience, he should be careful to immediately start calling people his “new homie,” and trying to make their words somehow seem repentant. That’s y ppl got so upset when DJ came on bc he started to say things like, I can tell you’re telling the truth/ you’re not lying. Like how do you know. And trying to reconcile a clearly narcissistic man with a weak and silly woman.

Don't overlook that he reiterated numerous times to stay true to her boundaries/standards/deadline. He actually says that if she sticks to that deadline/boundary he (her boyfriend)will respect her even more. And even when she tried to backtrack about ending the relationship if he doesn't propose by December 31st, LT called her out on it and again encouraged her to stick to her guns/boundaries

Exactly. A 23 year old living easy off the fruit of someone else’s labor stunts her growth. You appreciate that better after you’ve struggled a while, and you’ll have the character it takes to maintain blessings and most importantly your marriage, which is also a blessing. Marriage requires two people loving and serving one another. How is this love being reciprocated with you lying around the house with no cause?

It was a huge comfort and resource to me to come home after a hard day of being harrassed and tell him what happened and get his take on things before going back out to the work battle that I was experiencing on set when I used to work in production.

The bible is clear! It's not cohabitation it's SIN. Trevon needs to get her ,her own apartment until they make the decision to marry. Obeying God's word without compromise. WHO cares that he's a "good man" they're in fornication and the Bible is clear about that. To agree with what she's doing got me looking at the interviewer in a different way. LUKEWARM 😢

@DearFutureWifey I heard and read "transcript" of what you said about ur daughter. You had another opportunity to speak the truth from the word of God and tell her she's in fornication which is a sin, not cohabitation. The words you choose made her feel comfortable in her sin, and that's why she's still in it. You could've told her boyfriend, who's "man of VALOR" the truth and if he loved her he would be willing to sperate until marriage. Even when Mr. Jackson was on last year and he clearly told you he has a girlfriend but still married to Da naia, you could've spoke the truth to him about being in Adultery, but you said nothing. If God gives anyone a platform than we must us it to draw people back to him and to be obedience to his word. NO COMPROMISING ‼️ NO FEAR !!

I agree. Giving a guy a compliment isn't necessarily an invitation for him to pursue. I go around with a smile on my face, giving people compliments all day. I make it a point to notice and think of something positive about each person I come across throughout my day. I used to make a point to compliment the first 5, then 11 people I come across in the morning. Since where I live now, it's predominately a lot of Spanish speaking people who didn't understand English, now I just think of the positive observations of them; and I smile/beam at them. If giving guys compliments meant flirting/opening up the ask me out gate, I'd be in a relationship with every guy in my neighborhood. That being said, there are ways to compliment a guy that can be flirting/dropping your handkerchief. It sounds like her way was what she did and it worked for her.
