💯 I've got the Tee aswell. 3 kids under 3 and the day refuse to create structure in co parenting and no financial help. I was mad for years until suddenly I realised its wasted energy. My thing if a parent doesn't want to play the role or give financial support, good bye I don't want it if it burns that person to give. I just stopped complaining and got on with it. Role forward my beautiful kids are now 19 , 18 and 15. I am soooo proud I've done a damn good job. And there Father has also decided to step up now but I guess he had to do that on his time. I don't hate him, I've always said I know he loves his kids he just doesn't know how to navigate parenting. Regardless of the unfortunates I know I'm blessed that's the main thing. I hope Erica finds her peace

When I was in my 20's (many years ago lol) my husband and I lived with my widowed dad for a while before he died, and I had to pass his room to go to the bathroom. If I went in the middle of the night he always heard and asked if I was alright. He did that my entire life as my mum hadn't been in the best health as I grew up. That's a dad. He's been gone 22 years and as I write this the tears are making it hard to see. I will miss that man and my mum until the day I die. I felt like this was harsh. I have one son and his Dad was aaaaall about him. He was huge on family and his family was all about family. When my son turned about one, he started hanging around the wrong people. I never in a million years thought it would go like that. My son is 19 now and he’s such a kind hearted soul. It goes deeper than that with Erica. Erica’s mom was an addict/dealer and her father was abusive. Erica wants what we all want… to be loved and she wants it so badly she accepted scraps. It isn’t about the material, it hurts her to see her kids Dad put in more effort with someone else’s children. I do agree with you Fumi, I would not have accepted them.

Bravo! I most totally agree. I faced that situation with my ex husband of 10 years. When we were dating, he kept telling me he didn't want to have any more children. I made it a point that we talked to each other. He had already been married and divorced and had a son. I actually respected that and told him okay but that means we can only be friends because I don't want to take a chance and get pregnant if we have sex, although I took my birth control every day/same time each day. I just didn't want to take any more chances. I told him if that was going to be too much for him, then we'd part as friends and we did. We talked every now and then and met up for dinner here and there. It was on one of our dinner outing he told me he wanted to start dating again and he strongly believed if we took all the precautions, we would be fine. I told him we could take all the precautions in the world but it wouldn't matter because there was no guarantee. So, we remained friends until he came to my job one day on my lunch break and almost cried and told me he wanted me and he believed we could go the distance and he did one day want children with me. I believed him but found out the hard way when we were married and I got pregnant, he never wanted another child. To top that off, our son was born with Autism and my ex totally resented our son for his illness and treated him accordingly. I found myself having to protect my son from his own father. I said all this to say when a man tells you he doesn't want children, believe him. When he suddenly changes his mind, tread lightly and cautiously. My son is now happy and so am I away from that toxic environment and I am making sure my son gets all the help he needs. His father doesn't want to have anything to do with him and hasn't in many years, but for us it's all for the best.

I know a friend who has a wonderful Autistic son & the Mom had to raise him alone bcuz the Dad abandoned them.... the craziest thing is she used protection, she was intimate with the father 1 time.... My friend finds out later that she was deceived.... he broke the protection on purpose.... he did it bcuz he needed a green card & assumed that she wud marry him.... she said no & he ghosted her.... she knew that this man would not & could not give her & her son what they needed.... & others said "you need to chase him down & make him pay" ..... The statements you make about a father is spot on. Unfortunately that is how it is with alot of JAMAICAN men. They do not take care of their children whether monetarily or emotionally. I'm living with one currently and we have a son together. He's responsible in the sense that works hard and pays the bills. However, he is absolutely absent as a father and a partner. I'm father and mother to or some and he's right here in the household. He finds more time to give to others than he gives to us and when he does stay home He's sleeping most of the time. I most definitely UNDERSTAND.

My biggest concern is seeing Erica first tweet that her kids didn’t receive Rolex watches!! Like is this the most important thing that matters to you??? It’s giving that she still has alot of growing up to do because she’s concerned about material things rather than time and energy that is not given to those kids! As for Amara, I wouldn’t have accepted such expensive gifts from him knowing that he’s not doing what he should for his biological kids!
