Very interesting stream! I like the conversation about the current youtube-synth world…it started with a lot of youtubers creating their burnout videos…and I think these days everybody is feeling the synth overload. Literally noone asked for the KingKorg Neo, and many other synths, but products are being churned out like crazy. I hope there will come a time where this leads to more innovation. How about more multi-timbral synthesizers? How about not excluding standard functionality that everybody expects? How about not forcing us to use silly proprietary editor software to exchange samples on the device…the list could go on. There are so many devices, yet so many "mistakes" seem to be made. It's time for quality over quantity. …on another note: obviously I am excited for the OP-XY. For me it's got everything I need. Multi-timbrality, proper sampling and resampling (with enough storage), sequencer, song mode, physical keyboard & sequencer butons, built-in battery with long lasting charge. It's a unique feature set that appeals to many people, and I seriously question why no other companies try o compete with TE?! But now it's time to make that Christmas purchase list video ;)

32:35 I actually thought the osmose was using the same VST from 112db? it sounds sometimes almost identical. I've jumped in the Osmose hype years ago when the pre-order came with a discount, but later canceled it. Now with the SteamPipe, I have a similar sound but with so much hand-on control. Can't wait to get mine!

Yeah, I really disliked the Osmose presets/sounds, too … Which is why I thought I’d wait and see if they eventually do just a controller version 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great jam reactions! From what I've heard though so far, I still think the z1 could give the steampipe a run for its 💰. Know what, I'm gonna go and try a Z1 out, I've been meaning to for a while, just to see what it can do. Modular wise I would need patch and plug memory like ssp has... that's the only modular gear I'm thinking about. And maybe the oxi coral. But the time for that is still off for a while.
