Hi everyone, in this video I'm doing a swipe using Copper as a cell activator to swipe with! Love the results but those darn measles from all the airbubbles!!!! Agh.

Pouring medium: My equivalent to Sheleeart
3 parts Valspar wood and metal v700, interior gloss, base C
1 part polyurethane gloss varnish: www.amazon.com...
Cell Activator: Australian Flood Floetrol and Amsterdam Titanium White 1:1 ratio
OR
Cell Activator: Lamp Black or Titanium White (AMSTERDAM) and water only! thinned down until your practice puddle explodes with cells! (See tutorial video for more information)

It works!!! As an artist you notice them but as someone who is not, they wouldn't know it wasn't a part of your technique! To be honest I think I was so engrossed in the detail of this gorgeous piece that I hadn't noticed until you pointed them out!

I don't think the measles really affect it! It is really cool as it creates kind of an appearance of a fold down the middle with the swipe color!! 🦋🦋

I kept forgetting to torch yesterday, and it wasn't the most grand project I've done. I decided to quit after it was apparent I couldn't remember crap.. LOL Have you tried the heat gun that Gilly Kube is using? It doesn't seem to overheat. It's nice to see someone using a metallic for a change for the swipe!

The valspar base paint is driving me nuts too Erica. I left my paint sitting for two days and it was still full of air bubbles. My recent work is full of the measles too....which I’m not a fan of. There was a house paint suggested in the fb group the other day....must go back and find the name. It came recommended over the valspar 😊

RIght! I got the homebase shop brand yesterday. did a swipe with it. seems good and drying nicely today but i haven't tried to blow a bloom with it yet. might have a go tonight. :)

Next can you purchase, just ask the paint shaker person to allow the machine 2 shakes. Paint will not have bubbles. My gallon came home perfect.
