The symphonic poem by Erich Wolfgang Korngold is conducted on this rare acetate by the composer himself with mezzo soprano Clemence Groves. She was the wife of George Groves, head of the sound department at Warner Brothers and a well-known concert singer in Los Angeles during the 1930s and 40s.
