Thank you! I'm exactly at that stage of prematurely jumping into an ERP system due to all those sweet sounding bells & whistles that an ERP system could provide. We clearly haven't think through on the implementation readiness aspects that you've mentioned there. And it really opens up my mind on what we should aim to achieve with having an ERP system in place, and how we should've first align the business' data model into that direction, way before jumping into vendor selection process! So thank you once again for this insightful video.

Open question: would there be a difference between assessing the readiness for an ERP upgrade (same ERP) and moving to a new ERP system?

Hi Jo, We generally see the need to focus on similar issues during implementation readiness whether its an upgrade or a full replacement. The degree of focus in and priority of different areas may vary, though.
