I have always loved this song, and I have to admit I never knew til today the chicks didn't write it... but after watching her signing it I know she wrote it.. watching the memories come flowing back over her was magic.. thank you for this video bro

Susan wrote the song and the lyrics of course, but remember, Emily and Martie compose and arrange the instrumental parts on the majority of their songs.

Susan sings this better as each year passes. Kelly and Natalie do a good job, of course, they are great singers. But the song isn’t theirs. If Susan had written ‘Twist & Shout’ anybody could do it as well or better than she. But not this song. This is Susan’s personal journey, her manifesto, her story to tell.
