They probably cut everything they can to keep the storage size as low as possible. Since the entire game is just stacking on the previous one year over year over year and it keeps getting bigger and bigger with junk files they can't cut due to glitches.

The new Madden scoreboard looks like I’m watching a MNF game from 2021, and I honestly like that. As for the updated jerseys in Madden 25, the stripes on the sleeves or the sleeve designs (depending on the team) look a lot wider than they do in real life, and I hope that gets fixed soon.

I think the one thing I miss most from older Maddens from a presentation/options standpoint is just being able to use legacy teams. I think I get so much more longevity out of 2K or whatever being able to play with like the '96 Bulls or whatever - no matter how much the game updates from one year to the next, it's hard to justify with only 32 teams to choose from, especially now we have a new NCAA game. They're obviously limited by the size of the league, but it limits variety so much only being able to rock with 32 teams. I get that the licensing is different from sport to sport, etc, but iirc Madden '05 let you select like All-Time Eagles or the 85 Bears or whatever. Im sure MUT probably stops that ever happening, but that's always the main thing that curbs any real interest I have in jumping across to a new Madden game. Im not a massive Fifa guy, but at least with that it has 100s of teams to choose from, it just makes the variety of matchups so much more interesting

It’s a little thing but I’ve noticed during drafts when it comes to career interviews in the office for the player within the game, some players will be wearing a suit with their team headband still on 😂 lol. Hopefully EA could patch this up before release day as well.
