It's weird how competent of a cop Fry was. Also, the 3D planet scene was just brilliant.

He’s been mistreated, so he genuinely just wants justice. Quite the contrast to how baton-happy cops are usually portrayed in Futurama, he may just be the most competent law enforcement officer.

I got a lot of mileage out of that "no, it's cheaper just to let you die" clip when the pandemic started

All the future crime plot was based on the movie Minority Report starring Tom Cruise. Good movie

"Put on 3-D Glasses 1 minute ago" gag is funnier when you realize it's purpose. It's more than just "Haha, should've put on glasses" At the time of this episode first airing, it would've been impossible to rewind to watch in 3-D.

I remember earlier on Leela and Bender went on a mission without Fry and they had a good time. Maybe it was the destination. It’s the one where Fry learned the truth about about Nibbler.

Isn't future crime a real thing? I seem to remember reading an article a few years back on a prediction based patrolling trial done by the police in the USA. This was powered by big data, though no oracle in bathtubs involved.

Watch "Minority Report", the episode takes inspiration for future crime.

The humor in this episode was so tremendous, that it expertly distracted of contrived plot and character inconsistencies

Ever play death stranding? I hope the future humans can 3d print stuff out of thin air as long as it's connected within to the internet network

Yep! Didn't get through all of it but enjoyed what I played. Might have to look up videos of the rest of the story if I want to play the 2nd one

The police chief comes off as a woman character written by a man who knows absolutely nothing about women. So he gave her a bunch of lines that he thinks are things that a badass woman would say.

This episode, like the previous season's 'Killer App' is kind of frustrating - it has good jokes and some truly iconic lines and scenes, but is overall pretty forgettable and just sort of blends into the amorphous mass of 'Fry gets a different job' episodes...
